This letter recommends Jeannie Dean for any position in organizing and/or
communications, especially where she’ll have the opportunity to make a significant
impact in the world.
Jeannie’s dedicated, passionate work on issues of democracy and elections
has impressed me considerably in the past year. It’s safe to say that she is one of the
most consistent and present voices advocating for transparency and accountability in
our voting system. Jeannie has often – through her consistent engagement with
groups and online organizing -- personally held together the chaotic nexus of a
growing, diverse, and often contentious movement, in highly emotionally charged
environments.
In writing and public speaking, her message has never wavered and her
clarity and intelligence is always galvanizing, particularly for those new to the issue.
Jeannie’s activist and organizing experience has, from my perspective, given her a
broader, systems-oriented thinking, and creative, innovative approach to projects. But
it’s without doubt her tremendous positive energy, wicked humor, and loving support
of team members that sets her apart from the crowd. In that respect, Jeannie is
unique, and uniquely appreciated by those who work with her.
