Reference for Jaskaran Thind
I write in the capacity of Associate Lecturer at Newcastle University Business School,
University of Newcastle, Newcastle, UK.
I am pleased to provide a reference for my student Jaskaran Thind.
I taught Jaskaran in 2013 on a module entitled Principles of Marketing.
Jaskaran was a committed and dedicated post-graduate with a strong work ethic. He was
always a good contributor in class and worked well within his designated seminar team.
He stands out from his peers as a student who can think laterally and add value to any
discussion. He has also impressed me as a team player.
Over the twelve weeks of semester 1, 2012/2013, 23 student teams were involved in the
development of new products, as part of the Greggs Marketing Challenge. Jaskaran
skilfully contributed to his team to achieve a runner-up position, out of five shortlisted
teams (from the original 23).
As a former General Manager in FMCG markets and part-owner of a Search & Selection
Consultancy, I consider myself to be a good judge of talent and Jaskaran Thind certainly
falls into this category.
I am delighted to recommend him to any employer seeking a prospect who is creatively
minded and a “hands on” achiever.
