• These three are all linked, because they’re promoting the same film.
Each of them incorporates the character tropes in advertising, with
the YouTube video they incorporate his charm, and on the website
they have info about all the characters which links the YouTube video
and the website. The use of Twitter is linked because ultimately its
goal is to garner a potential audience for their newest film, that is the
goal of all three advertising methods ultimately but they all do it in a
different way.
Brand Identity
• As Pixar up their advertising campaign, the campaign creates an
identity for Toy Story 3, the more you see advertising for it the quicker
you’ll realise: it’s Toy Story, it creates a unique but memorable brand.
They make TS memorable as at the end of any advertising method for
the film, they all have the same logo, which creates a synonymous
identity and one that is easy for the audience to recognize. This gives
your brand a ‘face’, which makes your brand more trustworthy if you
have an identity, that’s why companies like Coca Cola and McDonalds
are successful, they have a clear identity which makes it for their
audience to keep coming back.
