• Barr was ALWAYS there to help when needed.
• Great at explaining topics
• Great TA.
• Great teacher, easily the best math teacher I have ever had
• He should've been the professor. He was an excellent TA and I always understood the problem after he did it.
• James Barr is the reason I am getting such a good grade in the class. He has been extremely helpful, always making time for us. He was
very clear and explained things in a way that I could not be confused at all. He was one of the best TAs I have had here at syracuse
• James is a great TA. I have relied completely on James in order to succeed in this class. He has helped me tremendously since my regular
professor (Alan) is horrible
• James is the best TA I have ever had. He was always avaible for help, often helping beyond his posted times. Unfortuantely this is my last
math course I am required to take as an undergrad, because I would have looked forward to maybe having him again. I know for a fact that
others appreciate all the work he has put in, and his realtionships with his students are great. Thank you James for everything you have
done for me! I hope we can keep in touch after this semester.
• James was a great TA and actually showed he cared about his students.
• James was the best TA I've had at SU by far, and this is my senior year. He knows the material very well and has an uncanny ability to
communicate the processes effectively. If you take this class he's the best way to learn the info by far.
• Mr. Barr was fantastic. He helped me so much because the lecture was very hard to follow.
• The best Math TA that I have had so far. He is able to explain all of the concepts easily to the class without any confusion. A lot of the
times I showed up to class very confused about what was taught in lecture and he would immediately begin to explain everything. He
graded things fairly and you could tell he really cared about his students grades. He made the classroom a comfortable and chill
environment where it was easy to learn.
• The TA for this course was extremely willing to help and always available when extra guidance was needed. An extremely difficult course
for someone who had no pre-calc or calc experience, he made this course just a little easier to understand.
• We all love James, he is the best TA that i have had so far at SU

A lot of the times I showed up to class very confused about what was taught in lecture and he would immediately begin to explain everything. He graded things fairly and you could tell he really cared about his students grades. He made the classroom a comfortable and chill environment where it was easy to learn. • The TA for this course was extremely willing to help and always available when extra guidance was needed. An extremely difficult course for someone who had no pre-calc or calc experience, he made this course just a little easier to understand. • We all love James, he is the best TA that i have had so far at SU Produced by The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment - 1/13/2016
