1 - Please comment on the Douglas Peterson's teaching effectiveness, assignments, materials used in the course, methods (what was done best, as well as what
can be improved) and anything else about this course.

• Overall there was a great deal of topics to be covered and i felt i learned most from Douglas Peterson's personal stories relating to international business, given real-world examples, and events that
are going on today. Also the discussions i learned quite a bit from older classmen who contributed to discussions as well. If there were any way to give short and concise quizzes on topics in either the
chapters or class i feel that would be beneficial in knowing how good you are doing throughout the class and motivation to read through the chapters assigned. So that is one improvement that could
be made, and possibly more informational videos or speakers too.
• He was focused on our comprehension of the information, not just the grades which is very helpful from a students standpoint.
• Dr. Peterson's class was my favorite class this semester. It was great to have a small interactive class. All of the material we covered in the class will be useful for my future minor in International
Business. Dr. Peterson was very understanding with absences, especailly with the class being only on Wednesday nights. The most useful part of the class for me were the TED talks he used and the
inclass discussion. He was always well informed to any question a student had, whether it be on a subject we are studying or on a current event. This was also one of the only classes I had this
semester that made great use of buying the textbook.
• I enjoyed this course quite a bit for the opportunity to learn from Dr. Peterson. It was obvious that he had a lot of knowledge around the subject. However, I think that it was evident that this was the
first year Dr. Peterson has taught this specific course -- there was less structure and certainty with learning objectives and metrics than in other courses where professors have taught the course for
many years. I think a more concrete structure and more predictability for what is expected in the class are some areas that could be improved.
• Douglas Peterson is a well organized instructor, well prepared, and he used materials effectively to help students understand the content of the class. Using powerpoints, videos, as well as in depth
discussion with students was really effective to cover the materials. Also he helped me in other topics fro mother classes which I think this is something all professors should do if they can.
• I enjoyed the first half of the semester very very very much. I enjoy a different more alternative style of teaching, especially with a subject that has as much discussion potential. Interactive things like
the phone poll (where you vote for polls per text), the videos, the oreo cookies. Those are all nice features that students appreciate especially when the class time is past 6pm. The last half of the
semester turned more and more in what you would expect. You have your different partly quite dry topics and you go through them, you sit there and listen and have from time to time a dialog. Since
the class was at such late time, I feel like a lot of students thought they could spend their time better because there is also no mandatory attendance. I am not in favor of a mandatory attendance and I
don't think it is avoidable that students skip class, but I think most of the students really appreciated your teaching style. Don't be too hard on yourself, you did an amazing job as a teacher. I think
keeping (especially) late classes playful is nice. Most students are burned out by their day and therefore appreciate a lighter class style. I hope I could help to give you a good evaluation. It was
definitely one of my favorite classe and I really appreciated it.
• Nice teaching style in the first couple of weeks, which unfortunately dropped after the midterm. Included students often and asked for their opinions on specific topics. Included group presentations, to
let the students really think about the upcoming topics. Very good use of different types of sources. Fitted in internet sources to visualize things very good. Good input on where to look if someone was
more interested in a specific topic.
• A very engaging and honest teacher that made the class interesting and worth going to. only thing I would recommend is make the class a two a week class not once a week.
• I enjoyed the lectures and am very interested in this subject
• I would like more opportunities to assess my understanding of the material.

  • 1. 1 - Please comment on the Douglas Peterson's teaching effectiveness, assignments, materials used in the course, methods (what was done best, as well as what can be improved) and anything else about this course. Return Rate 10/17 (58.82%) • Overall there was a great deal of topics to be covered and i felt i learned most from Douglas Peterson's personal stories relating to international business, given real-world examples, and events that are going on today. Also the discussions i learned quite a bit from older classmen who contributed to discussions as well. If there were any way to give short and concise quizzes on topics in either the chapters or class i feel that would be beneficial in knowing how good you are doing throughout the class and motivation to read through the chapters assigned. So that is one improvement that could be made, and possibly more informational videos or speakers too. • He was focused on our comprehension of the information, not just the grades which is very helpful from a students standpoint. • Dr. Peterson's class was my favorite class this semester. It was great to have a small interactive class. All of the material we covered in the class will be useful for my future minor in International Business. Dr. Peterson was very understanding with absences, especailly with the class being only on Wednesday nights. The most useful part of the class for me were the TED talks he used and the inclass discussion. He was always well informed to any question a student had, whether it be on a subject we are studying or on a current event. This was also one of the only classes I had this semester that made great use of buying the textbook. • I enjoyed this course quite a bit for the opportunity to learn from Dr. Peterson. It was obvious that he had a lot of knowledge around the subject. However, I think that it was evident that this was the first year Dr. Peterson has taught this specific course -- there was less structure and certainty with learning objectives and metrics than in other courses where professors have taught the course for many years. I think a more concrete structure and more predictability for what is expected in the class are some areas that could be improved. • Douglas Peterson is a well organized instructor, well prepared, and he used materials effectively to help students understand the content of the class. Using powerpoints, videos, as well as in depth discussion with students was really effective to cover the materials. Also he helped me in other topics fro mother classes which I think this is something all professors should do if they can. • I enjoyed the first half of the semester very very very much. I enjoy a different more alternative style of teaching, especially with a subject that has as much discussion potential. Interactive things like the phone poll (where you vote for polls per text), the videos, the oreo cookies. Those are all nice features that students appreciate especially when the class time is past 6pm. The last half of the semester turned more and more in what you would expect. You have your different partly quite dry topics and you go through them, you sit there and listen and have from time to time a dialog. Since the class was at such late time, I feel like a lot of students thought they could spend their time better because there is also no mandatory attendance. I am not in favor of a mandatory attendance and I don't think it is avoidable that students skip class, but I think most of the students really appreciated your teaching style. Don't be too hard on yourself, you did an amazing job as a teacher. I think keeping (especially) late classes playful is nice. Most students are burned out by their day and therefore appreciate a lighter class style. I hope I could help to give you a good evaluation. It was definitely one of my favorite classe and I really appreciated it. • Nice teaching style in the first couple of weeks, which unfortunately dropped after the midterm. Included students often and asked for their opinions on specific topics. Included group presentations, to let the students really think about the upcoming topics. Very good use of different types of sources. Fitted in internet sources to visualize things very good. Good input on where to look if someone was more interested in a specific topic. • A very engaging and honest teacher that made the class interesting and worth going to. only thing I would recommend is make the class a two a week class not once a week. • I enjoyed the lectures and am very interested in this subject • I would like more opportunities to assess my understanding of the material. 2 - How would you evaluate the presentation of materials in this course?
