  • 6.  Policy analysts and decision makers must have relevant information ▪ Organizations cannot run effectively without strong communication (Willem & Marc, 2007)  Lateral/Informal communication creates trust ▪ Encourages employees to freely share ideas (Willem & Marc, 2007)  Government runs more effectively when ideas are freely shared (Willem & Marc, 2007).  Managers should place a high priority on and devote significant time on lateral and informal communication (Willem & Marc, 2007)
