• In spite of having dissimilarities in geographical
location both Dhaka and Kolkata share some
common features. Firstly, Dhaka is a densely
populated city. Similarly, Kolkata also hosts a
large population. Secondly, Dhaka is known as a
capital. Likewise, Kolkata too is known to be the
capital of West Bengal. Thirdly, there is a cricket
stadium in Dhaka. In the same way, Kolkata also
has a cricket ground. In a nutshell, both the cities
have many things in common.

• Despite having similarities both Dhaka and
Kolkata differ from each other on some features.
For example, Dhaka is a populated but well
maintained city. Whereas, Kolkata hosts a large
population in a haphazard manner. Another
example, Dhaka is known as the capital of a
country. In contrast, Kolkata is merely the capital
of a region/divison. Still another example, there
are big market places in Dhaka. Unlike, Kolkata
has small market places. To conclude, both the
cities have many differences which speak much
than that of their similarities.
7. Comparison-Contrast Paragraph
Entertainment irrespective to ages, places and religions has
always been the best stress reliever. In our country entertainment
has mostly two types of variations: Rural & Urban entertainment
and both of them have similarities and dissimilarities in between.
Firstly, cinema is a vital part of rural entertainment. Similarly, in
urban areas people do prefer cinema more to other forms of
entertainment. Secondly, rural people sometimes arrange
Jatrapala or Gaaner Ashor. Likewise, urban people also arrange
concerts & stage dramas. But there also prevails a number of
dissimilarities between rural & urban types of entertainment. For
example, rural people prefer explicit nudity in programs. While,
urban people hankers for artistic allurement. Another example,
rural people do not use internet for entertainment. In contrary,
urban people are totally devoted to internet. Despite the
similarities & differences both the types of entertainment serve a
great purpose by fulfilling the emotional hunger of our people.
