Running head: GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 1
Graduate School Application
Packet No. 2
Jacob R. Stotler
Dr. Maria Kuznetsova
Introduction to Clinical Psychology 4500-80
The University of Wyoming - 2019
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 2
Graduate School Application Packet
The second graduate packet that I have authored is designed to be sent to the institution of
The University of Nebraska at Kearney. Kearney, Nebraska is 385 miles East of Laramie,
Wyoming. The graduate application process is quite extensive though the process does not
demand subject GRE scores, nor the standard GRE test of quantitative, analytic writing, or
verbal. All of my materials will be sent to “Attn: The Mental Health Counseling Graduate
Program of The University of Nebraska at Kearney”, and/or all of these listed materials will be
officially submitted though the online application process.
1. Link available at: http://www.unk.edu/academics/csp/clinical-mental-health-
counseling.php. Unofficial copies of transcripts (see pages 4-8).
i. (Official records have been sent / are available to the institution and
administration now).
ii. Resume designed around the supplied institutional template: “Resume
format form”. Appendix A and Appendix B: (see pages 10 and 11-23 [13
pages]).
iii. Personal statement. Personal statement is based around the institutions
demand to “write a personal statement that explains your motivation to
become a counselor”. Appendix A and Appendix C: (see pages 10 and 24-
29 [6 pages]).
iv. Grade statement. This statement justifies four grades in which I find
inaccurate measurements of my ability though in which are inscribed on
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 3
my permanent records. Appendix A and Appendix D: (see pages 10, 30-33
[4 pages]).
2. The University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Mental Health Counseling Master’s program
does not list or has no availability to write to, or choose a specified professor for specific
internship, or for intention of concentrating on any particular focus within graduate
studies.
3. The process does not demand subject GRE scores, though I have a scheduled meeting /
scheduled time to take the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) in Rawlins, Wyoming in
April. I scheduled the GRE online at
https://www.ets.org/gre/subject/register/reschedule/#subject, it cost $200.00 to register. I
plan to reschedule this GRE to take place at the institution in Laramie and take place
during the month of January or March.
4. Letters of Recommendation have yet to be bequeathed to me. I have sent a request for
recommendation letters to nearly 20 or more, very close resources. I have invited
approximately five previous supervisors, professors, and conglomerated / very valuable
people to bequeath me a recommendation, none of these have been endowed to me for
this process with the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
5. My plan to apply for this specific program initiated about six days ago when I had found
the program; the program was hidden among hundreds of graduate schools offering
graduate clinical psychology programs. I found the school in a very concentrated session
while mining for smaller sized graduate schools within the U.S. by internet search engine.
I am still writing and applying to community members, resources, and past references
that I have built over the past years for robust and forthgoing / positive recommendation
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 4
letters.
I have nearly finished my application entirely, yet there are three recommendation
letters needed before I can submit my application to the program. The other requirements
and demands of the program are GPA stature at ~3.0 or above as well as to be within
good academic standing with every institution ever attended.
Other requisites of the program involve applying with the program, fulfilling all
required areas of the online application (in which are all identified here besides relevant
personal information expected of any personal application), and reading all of the
policies, student handbooks, course sequences, and signing the practicum / internship
contract.
Applying for financial aid loans and submitting a FAFSA for the coming year of
2019 will also be crucial for acceptance. I have done so. I would be so honored to attend
any meetings with these administrators and program managers, and I will likely make
contact regularly with the program about the current status of graduate acceptance. The
program’s application process is open until the month of April.

Career Objectives
I hope to surmount the problems, deviance and pathways that are in the way of the hopes
and visions for a more perfect future. I will work to become an authority within society,
psychology, and maintain world class affairs in counseling and psychology. I am disciplined with
the ability to offer gargantuan services to society, and I want to accommodate people with these
services through compound approaches and applications within psychology.
My largest goals are to work with people, associate and interview with people in isolated
settings, lead people towards triumph, work with people to enhance themselves, their lives, and
the developing working fields of the future. I hope to assist people to integrate new
understandings and utilize more futuristic tools. I aim to assist people of all stratum. I see that
within my near future, I want to work on such projects as analyzing, designing and revising
empirically supported clinical assessments, clinical treatment manuals, and clinical checklists
and observation guidelines for practitioners, and for use in treatment, rehabilitation, treatment
plans, and to better calculate clinical outcomes.
I recognize a benefit in integrating with other psychology majors, scholars, professors and
clinicians to design and utilize prevention applications, design programs concomitant to the
ongoing changes in the field of psychology, psychological testing and clinical psychology. I want
to take part in the history being made that integrates new methods of treatment into the further
societies, such that, I want to assist to outsource available technologies into the places that have
never experienced these opportunities, and/or synergize these technologies into places and apply
these technologies where people are reaping the most benefit from them. The relevant
technologies such as utilizing virtual reality, monitoring and recording EEG readings, and
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 13
utilizing EEG / electro-neuro-diagnostics coupled to procedures in cognitive behavioral therapy
and other counseling applications contain a great reserve of potential.
I want to assist society to make changes and become more dependent on the use of
electro-psychological techniques and procedures such as biofeedback strategies, neurofeedback
procedures, photo-therapy treatments, and newly found scientific practices such as functional
connectivity involved in psycho-therapy. I am devoted to helping society and society’s people
adopt futuristic methods of health and mental health to assist individuals, independently, to
become better at what they want to become better at, and to utilize information, data and health-
technology to assist them to live longer, become more technological and versatile. I am
motivated to impel all people to evolve into a more ultramodern society.
In my career I desire to assist patients, clients, children, adults, civilians and military to
cope and adapt to their changing body, their developing brain, their life and the unforeseeable
events within their environment and humanity. My most statuesque goals are to interview people,
educate people, rehabilitate, counsel people conservatively, and associate with people by the
purest and most refined ethics known to man.
I plan to meet new colleagues, build new business, fidelity, legacy, avantgarde,
exactitude, and new avenues, for the applications of health, technology and psychology. I want to
assemble relationships, outsource and network with people, and design new lives, new visions,
new innovative standards and birth new possibilities. I want to succeed; I want to work with the
entire spectrum of humanity by the means of history, and by rising standards. I deem myself
focused and concentrated on medicine, psychology, neurology, major evidence-based prevention
strategies and technology right now, because of the incoordination between these elements in the
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 14
health care system, the high likelihood of success and prosperity, and because of the need of
closer, more refined, and more closely innovated interconnections between these fields.
I am working towards a career and future to counsel all, the ill and the healthy, and those
of perfect politics. I want to practice medicine, psychology, science and utilize the depths and
bounds of technology according to empirically supported treatment strategies. I hope to apply my
knowledge base, the extensiveness of my academia, and my amassed experiences in business, the
laboratory and medicine, to network and legislate amidst people to influence a more perfect, and
a more brilliant society.
The future ahead is a world that has infinite needs; my career goals are to survive and
articulate these people by example, invest as wisely and conservatively as possible within
business, earn recognitions for outstanding achievements, teach, influence within practice,
collaborate, pioneer and establish movements towards betterment. I want to assist progressive
people to lead the most legitimate and most superior worldly affairs.

Additional Relevant Education Experiences:
(Highlight/address any educational experiences in the areas of counseling, technology, diversity,
and/or communication skills):
I have invested countless hours towards trainings, certifications, certification programs,
volunteer attendance to psychology related events, as I too have worked with as many scholars,
and administrators as I could. I have spent thousands of hours in clinical settings, training within
clinical training systems, and studying under respected health professionals, doctors, nurses and
otherwise.
In the past four years I have attained: OSHA 30 certification, three classes in AC/DC
electricity (laboratory work), two classes in advanced composite manufacturing and repair
(laboratory work); 4 first aid certifications, 2 height climb safety and rescue certifications, 4 CPR
certifications, an OPID certification, 3 AED certifications, 2 MANDT training certifications
(certification of manual holds / effective communication and de-escalation strategies), and 2
mental health first aid certifications.
I have also / will attain my Certified Nurse’s Assistant training with the State of
Wyoming. I am also on track to potentially achieve a certification from the APA as a Psychiatric
technician. I have worked with DUI (Driver under the influence) programs, AA (Alcoholics
Anonymous) across the country, a domestic violence association, and I have invested almost 150
credit hours or more into a bachelor’s degree in psychology and clinical psychology.
Work Experience:
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 18
(Highlight/address any work experiences in the areas of counseling, technology, diversity and/or
communication skills):
I worked as a direct support technician for a firm that supports people with intellectual
and developmental disabilities for the last 4 months in Laramie, Wyoming. I worked as a mental
health technician with the Wyoming Department of Health for 8 months before then, just a few
miles outside of the state of Utah. I assisted the institution with medical labor, one to one
observations, 15 minutes wellness checks, group therapy, and record keeping among other
medical duty. I acted as a mental health technician, and performed CNA duties during this time; I
worked on a unit that served, monitored and worked for the health of about 80 patients, the
institution held about 120 patients at any given time.
In my path I have offered to help hundreds of people begin a journey to nicotine /
cigarette cessation. I have applied for hundreds of positions, schools, and opportunities, I have
talked with countless clinicians, I have interviewed numerous counselors and psychology-based
professionals, I have met with numerous Universities, and I have met and shook hands with as
many people as I could. I have been an entrepreneur for my own business, and I have conducted
countless projects alone and of my own design, work, and industrial agenda.
I have chased certain aspects of psychology and medicine throughout the country in
search to build an education, knowledge base and professional finesse in that that integrates
neurology, brain imaging, biofeedback and psychology. This in hope to bring these domains
more available to the public by profession, to study psychology, to earn the proper degrees
necessary to work as a respected clinician, and to perform among and amidst the current
standards of psychological, clinical, and medical practice.
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 19
Professional Development Activities:
(Conferences, workshops, staff development, etc.):
In the past few years, I have taken gargantuan steps to incrementally refine myself as a
professional. What I do not want to ignore are the fashions of my health that I have worked to
refine, and professional situations in which I have detailed superior aspects of my
professionalism and ethicality. I also do not want to bypass the fact that there are more strategies,
more forms of practice, and more difficult situations to experience to more precisely reform
myself into a doctorate professional.
In the case of writing for the University of Kansas at Kearney for this circumstance, I will
share the least that I know will justify the work that I have done in the past to initiate
professional habits.
I have spent 120, going on 140 credit hours in college course work, college lab work, and
college discussions, this should equivalate to a near 9,000 hours of in class / study hours in the
past 5 years. I have had perfect attendance in my college career, though this includes one day in
which was excused by letter of the Associate Dean of Students of the University of Wyoming,
this so I could participate at a previously scheduled certified nurse’s assistant testing date for
licensure with the State of Wyoming.
I spent time with working within a British company on American soil that was adamant
about staff development activities. The company had weekly luncheons, daily meetings, hefty
trainings in professionalism, harassment prevention and otherwise. The company taught vital
aspects of leadership by implementing mental health maintenance, staff communication
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 20
exercises, and provided bonuses every month that the crew received more positive reviews from
the last month.
As far as my own professional development, while taking advisory and welcoming
professional procedures from college education and field experience, I personally have authored
an estimate / bid for over a million dollars to a maintenance company at F.E. Warren Airforce
base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I have written, authored, and designed nearly 100 building
restoration estimates, bids, contracts, and receipts all of my own construction within the past 5
years. I have written a bid that satisfied the orientation of a well-respected engineering
company’s blueprints supplement to a detailed 200-page project plan.
I plan to attend as many conferences, lectures, and exhibitions relevant to the future of
psychology and medicine as becomes possible. I also envision myself to be motivated and
ambitious to assist with orchestrating conferences and exhibitions in the coming months.
Professional memberships:
In the years past I have mostly navigated away from professional memberships, this in
pursuits of my education, the depths of isolated studies, and I have stuck to a path that has been
mostly focused on my education and incremental career progress. I participated in the Juvenile
steering committee of Albany County, Wyoming in the year of 2016 (this is a committee that
focuses on community juvenile law administration regarding delinquent youth, as well as
prevention methods in the community and other administration approaches regarding the youth
of Albany County).
I had participated in the Trauma Informed Care Committee with the Wyoming
Department of Health in the year 2018. The Trauma Informed Care Committee focused on
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 21
institutional administration, meetings regarding upcoming applications being enforced within the
institution, and training and methods of maintenance to training, that highlights safety, harm
reduction and the most ethical approach when administrating or deescalating clients and patients.
I had also taken part in City Council meetings in Concordia, Kansas the year of 2016-
2017.
Leadership Experiences/Service Activities/Volunteer Service:
I have had a lifetime packed with leadership experience. Leadership is an element that I
have lived for, an attribute that I am loyal to, and a characteristic that I have sacrificed for. In the
past five years I have volunteered to labor for DUI (driver under the influence) impact panels. I
have worked to initiate a DUI impact panel program. I have worked with and attempted to join
multiple DUI impact programs throughout the nation. I have volunteered and labored for,
successfully, a domestic violence association in North central Kansas, (DVACK) and I began to
work with a domestic violence association in Evanston, Wyoming. I have given time to senior
citizen homes, and devoted hours to serving geriatric clients in three facilities, although these
were paid internships or compensated missions, the agenda was the same.
I have worked with psychiatric patients, intimately, one on one, professionally and
respectfully in an inpatient setting closed and isolated from society. This was one of the greatest
experiences of my life because I continuously found new elements of myself that I could offer
humanity. Even though these too were compensated appointments, the agenda of advisory,
education and human service was the same.
I have worked with several companies throughout the nation, that I have taken a
leadership / management / operations position above other employees. Most of these jobs were
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 22
relevant to managing people, and motivating people in the fields of construction and/or hard
labor. These are important histories to me because these were some of my first experiences being
in charge and being in a position of authority; I assisted to orchestrate people for some highly
reputable companies. I was good at this because I cared about people, I countered to motivate
people on the basis that I knew that they all carrried great potential. These efforts were for such
companies as Lance’s painting, The Wyoming Territorial prison, Sky-C renewable energy
systems, Wyoming Department of Health, and Midwest Tower Service.
On my own I have taken on great leadership roles within my own work, and in school. I
maintained a stenography role in the Wind Smith club of Laramie County Community College
for one half of a year in the year of 2015. I have interviewed scores of people about the topic and
career choice of psychology, personal opinions of the military experience with veterans, and
hopes and goals for the future with scholars, business people, and psychiatric patients. I have
talked to hundreds of people throughout the country about the idea of quitting smoking, assisting
them to approach the idea, as well as I have insisted success to people that I have met through
programs based on cessation of drug and alcohol abuse.
I have written to hundreds of people inquiring about financial opportunities, writing for
grants, scholarships, and prospecting for a chance to initiate work projects, based on the
principles of wise investing, and the agenda of graduating as an authority / administrative
professional with my graduation back into society.
I have worked with an institution called the Ark in which stands for “act of random
kindness”, the firm assists and supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
I had invested in a certification in “mental health first aid” on my own in the state of Kansas for
the betterment of myself, and dedicated to the responsibility of helping people in crisis, and
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 23
gaining the experience, and intellect to assist people that are suicidal. Within the past two years
I had also invested in a crisis management / communication training. My intention in doing so,
was to acquire the leadership abilities to take a lead in administration within the community
during a community crisis.
I had built a small company that was devoted not only to restoration and renovation
projects for historic homes, but also the company was specialized in assisting, recognizing, and
by licensure and federal regulations, removing, abating and disposing lead and materials made
from the lead element [Pb-82], and lead based paint. Lead based paint is known as a health threat
to the health of young children and the community, if managed improperly or left unmaintained.
The company also can and does assist civilians and military personnel to approach the first stages
of nicotine / cigarette cessation.
I have made several attempts to work with organizations relevant to drug and alcohol
prevention or rehabilitation. I have shown a great focus on discipline, prudence, and
psychological health and sobriety in my community affairs.

Personal essay in explanation of personal motivation to become a counselor.
The explanation for my motivation, and the reinforcement behind my drive to be
recognized with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and licensed as a
counselor, is that that I see myself as a worthy mental health professional. I have studied to be
accepted as an authority within the practice of psychology and health in psychology. I deem the
pursuit to become a clinical mental health counselor as priority; this direction is to serve as the
foundation for my future and pursuits in psychology and mental health.
I expect myself to sacrifice my opportunities to work towards a doctorate degree, after I
have practiced as a working mental health clinician. I am well educated, I am prepared, and I
plan to move onwards especially in the field of psychology, psychological principle and the
applications of psychological methods. I have already built and reinforced a robust academic
portfolio in which will help me to stabilize this business and my career. By taking the steps and
taking on the workload to sustain a path in counseling now, in the years soon after, I will be a
very utile, and substantial resource for those who are in need of a specialist with capabilities in
mental health medicine, procedure, research, application and counseling-based treatments,
worldwide.
I recognize prevailing progress within psychology that focuses to assist people to refine
themselves and better themselves without the need to treat psychopathology, yet to focus on the
progress and refinement of their psychology, their health, their habits and their routine, to best
enrich themselves, and their future. In the coming years, there will be endless progress in
research, data collection and organization, and scientific support to push current trends in
psychology and counseling. Counseling will continue toward advancement and towards
evolution, regarding health and mental health. The most that I can contribute to these movements
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 26
is to labor, discipline myself, study, learn, research and collaborate, to advance science, and to
evolve prominently with my work to better perfect the arts and sciences of the counseling
practice. I can acknowledge that becoming a credentialed clinical mental health counselor will
allow me to offer the fields of psychology and medicine an accretion.
I want to practice by the domain of knowledge that I have gained the past 5 years in
numerous institutions, although to practice to the extent and upon the level in which I have been
trained, I must persist to work within a graduate institution.
There are many directions in which the essentials of psychology will move. Some ideas
that I have about the future involve utilizing a graduate degree in clinical mental health
counseling and psychology, to assist with the creation of clinical communication handbooks,
strategies and exercises to better perfect a clinical discipline, of proper and superior clinical
communication. Such that there will always be a growing and permanent need to refine
clinician’s and practitioner’s language and communication skills to best reflect a professional
and superiorly disciplined set of language abilities. Clinicians should have ongoing and
continuous education in the art of speaking, and making clinical decisions out of arrant
discipline. I have yet found current methods of practice to perfect these abilities.
There will be an increasing need to utilize data found in modern and ultramodern
practices of psychology, to represent and identify the current progressive trends within
counseling, psychology, treatment, psychotherapy, and rehabilitation within the clinical setting.
There will be an increasing need to associate, correlate and compare findings within
clinical mental health practices with other forms of medical treatment. There are endless needs to
collaborate with people that are seeking help and seeking wellness from counseling, to establish
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 27
the greater knowledge base for growth in medicine, statistics, technology, marketing, science and
public manifesto. This will be so, to enlighten science of needed changes, navigate research and
development, instigate governmental investments, instigate needed programs, diminish unhelpful
or harmful procedures, and to adopt modern strategies to best suffice the health of society.
I have recognized among about 80-90% of the businesses and institutions that I have had
business transactions with, are in great need of counseling services, psycho-metric testing, and/or
counseling / group-based therapies to accommodate the health and functioning of the people that
manage the institutions. Nearly all but two firms that I have worked with, have not implemented
psychology-based methods for staff and career development. To me this is an indicator of a need
for counselors to tend to these problems and/or voluntarily offer accessible services to
institutions, hospitals, firms, schools, businesses and other agencies to educate about mental
health wellness programs, and group counseling tools. These programs and strategies would help
coordinate working individuals with healthy inlets and outlets of business stress, and teach
people needed communication tools and heuristics to properly engage in work affairs, in an
ethical and civilized manner.
The maintenance to mental health issues may be needed within every firm, business,
organization, police station, correctional institution, and governmental organization in the entire
world, because people cannot use the tools that they do not know exist.
I am well educated about current strategies, principles and practices in counseling,
medicine and psychology. I am aware that people are sensitive, that mankind is completely
diverse, and that counseling, interviewing and assessing people is a dissected science built upon
responsibility, and proper allocation of mass amounts of knowledge.
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 28
I have numerous ideas for clinical advancement in psychology and neurology. I am
interested in being able to counsel people, and administer treatments in mental health by
cognitive behavior therapy; I also see beneficence in being able to offer numerous other forms of
treatment strategies to the public. Some of the ideas that I have that can be fulfilled after
achieving a graduate degree are such that of publishing articles, and/or books about the actual
situation relevant to some clinicians and physicians, in which some health professionals are in
need to offer more psycho-metric testing and checklist like analysis. Hence, a myriad of
physicians and health professionals could utilize psycho-metric testing in the clinic where they
are not now, while some physicians are unaware of the advantages that could come from doing
so.
I see purpose and potential of organizing a “symptom dictionary” in which identifies all
known symptoms to psychopathological disorders, and/or psychiatric disorders, and
differentiates these from side effects of prescription drugs, street drugs, common addictions, or
other health problems.
I see the need in the future to originate new words into mental health practice, such as I
have discovered that there is viable use for the word “anosognosmiatic”, in which can be
translated to mean “a form of, or a symptom relative to anosognosia”. Anosognosia is defined as
a symptom in which an individual exhibits a psychopathological or physical symptom, though
the individual himself / herself does not recognize it, or denies to recognize that they exhibit the
symptom, or suffer from the said specific dysfunction. Currently the adjective
“anosognosmiatic” is utile and necessary in diagnostics and recording medical intervention,
though it is unfound in medical and American societal diction.
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 29
I am aware that better engineered checklists at counseling intakes could benefit many
clinicians and/or facilities, and perhaps better perfect the processes of modern prognosis. Within
the future, with more and more available evidence based treatments, clinicians will need more
health assessments to properly sift and segregate the individuals that would benefit from newly
available treatments. More labor and attention to intake checklists would help to identify any
present connections from the individual’s initial reason seeking counseling, to nervous system
disorders or neurological disorders, and/or other health issues, or potential health issues. Thus,
more carefully engineered intake forms could help diagnose and identify any, and all known
genetic links to diseases or risk factors for disease or disorder, before the individual begins
therapy. This would assist with the sensitivity and navigation involved in client / practitioner
interventions. This approach would be especially useful with increasing interconnections
between specific personality characteristics, and risk factors for some disorders and addiction.
I am aware that many connections interconnecting neurology, psychology,
psychopathology and health disorder are still evolving. This means that counseling, mental
health assessments, mental health and psychiatric intakes, and therapeutic practices in the future
could possibly and will most likely, adopt some practices and strategies that are already being
implemented in neurology and medicine.
Although these are recognizable possibilities to navigate the potential of the future, I
think that these processes still are only succinct topics to the actual societal need for disciplined
clinicians in mental health counseling. Society needs qualified and trustworthy mental health
counselors to practice, migrate and build business and programs, to accommodate all, even those
with ground zero counseling needs. Those in need of counseling, as is stated above, excludes no
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 30
one, but the best way to help those in which do not recognize they need help, is to be readily
accessible to them when the moments of personal redounding carry forward.
My motivation to be accepted and to finish the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s
mental health counseling program, is to compete with up and coming counselors, doctors, and
clinics, to stay on track to my hopes and aspirations for the country, and otherwise.
I have a multitude of reasons to be motivated to meet new people, and to carry the future
onward, to the places and circumstances that we have imagined should make up our future. I
want to work hard every day, I want to travail for the moment of progress, I want to see for all
others before I see for myself, and I want to sacrifice personal luxury for professional skills,
capability in medicine, and a recognition in psychology at a graduate level. I want to make all of
the needed self-sacrifice, to earn a license in mental health counseling.
I have studied to be superior to many of those who are welcome into the psychiatric and
mental health field now; without payment, I am motivated because I know what I have been
capable of – working here, and making irreversible movements for people yet to be born, and for
problems that have never subsided. I am motivated because I am aware of the power that is
granted when one is elected into a seat into your program, and with this power I am confident
that many people will gain asset from myself alone with that same invitation.

Grade Statement:
Although I fit above the GPA cutting scores for the program of clinical mental health
counseling at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, I feel it justified to provide an honest
insight into the basis and reasons for some of the grades posted boldly on my transcript.
Please see attached document that transcribes or translates that within the coming
months, my grade in Psychology 4730 – Psychology & Law will be changed to a “B” grade,
opposed to that of the current “C” grade. I recently won a trial with the institution of the
University of Wyoming in regards of this grade. The grade appeals process in which this
statement comes from was a redounding of four separate processes of appeals.
I felt it essential to include with my official transcripts and application thesis, a means of
supplement and justification for the lowest grades on my transcripts, and provide explanation for
two visible withdrawals.
PSYCH 1000 – Intro to Psychology
I withdrew from Psychology 1000 – Intro to Psychology my first time taking the class,
because of communication problems with the instructor. The instructor did not like my writing
style, I believed that he had too many students in the class to be grading concisely, and in the
end, this was my first experience in psychology. I felt intimidated by the professor, and I felt it
best that we finish our relationship without this course after the professor refused to work with
me, even after a meeting with the academic hierarchy within the institution. Shortly after this, I
finished an identical psychology course with another professor. I earned a lower grade of a “C”
in the latter psychology course, yet I moved on to change my major to psychology, and I then
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 33
attained mostly “A” and “B” grades throughout all of my academic pursuits in higher level
psychology courses.
ECON 1020- Intro to Micro-Economics
I had very few problems with this course, though in the end I earned an “F” grade. This
grade can only be drawn to lower ranking raw scores on quizzes; the quizzes tested achievement
of understanding of mathematics and mathematical concept. I attempted to appeal this grade
within the Laramie County Community College grade appeals process, though by the time that I
had taken the grade and started the appeals process, the institution and the professors had ruled
that it would be, or that it was currently “too late” to initiate the grade appeals process. The time
period of one year had passed, and accordingly to the institution’s student handbook, and the
listed procedures relevant to the grade appeals process, one year had expired my rights to any
grade revocation proceedings.
I can supply the written essays in which I wrote for the class in which I believed were of
high quality, as they mostly focused on the economic impact and negative externalities of liquor
stores, liquor licenses, and the effects of liquor sales on small town Kansas communities. I drew
lines of the interest of rising liquor license sales to rising crime rates. I can provide these essays,
in which I felt were politically under-graded with “C’s” and “D” grades.
Along with these essays I had written a discussion post approximately every other week,
these “letters” were written about realistic experiences in the pursuit of success in an economic
world. At this time, I was practicing as an entrepreneur with a small restoration / lead-based paint
specialist company. I wrote about the hardships and triumphs of being a salesman, and the small
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 34
economic movements in which I experienced soliciting, selling door to door, and achieving small
turn arounds from actual time invested in making sales.
I felt that my work was not only quality and well respected, but that I had a fair role in
teaching the class. Classmates were invited to read each other’s work, and I focused my writings
on expressing the realities and potential gains from having a well-rounded understanding about
microeconomics in a futuristic world, while selling traditional goods.
LIFE 1010- Intro to Biology
After I had spent three quarters of the semester severely struggling with encoding,
studying and retaining this material, I withdrew from the class to save myself quality time to
focus on my other course work, and to provide yours, and all other institutions and
administrators a “W” symbol for “withdrew”, instead of a lower ranking academic outlier. My
experiences stemmed from the extreme difficulty of the class and the heavily weighted course
work expected for success in the class.
The class included a laboratory section, in which I had an “A” grade when I was forced
to drop the class. The discussion section was much more than a challenge to me because of the
extent, exactitude and extreme precision of the material in which was tested for on exams. There
was an abundance of material relevant to health and implementational to psychology and
neurology within the course; this was the material I had inherently, and unconsciously focused
on. There were enough legitimized distractions for me to be unable to properly align the very
most valuable and important material, relevant to that of the material tested for on the exams.
GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 35
I chose to afford at my losses, while it was an unforgettable experience. Through the
competitive academic process, I lost my last opportunity to continue to pursue a future in
psychiatry, this because of my inability to properly serve the demands of this lower level course.

Graduate Application Essay Packet (Rejected) University of Wyoming

  • 1. Running head: GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 1 Graduate School Application Packet No. 2 Jacob R. Stotler Dr. Maria Kuznetsova Introduction to Clinical Psychology 4500-80 The University of Wyoming - 2019
  • 2. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 2 Graduate School Application Packet The second graduate packet that I have authored is designed to be sent to the institution of The University of Nebraska at Kearney. Kearney, Nebraska is 385 miles East of Laramie, Wyoming. The graduate application process is quite extensive though the process does not demand subject GRE scores, nor the standard GRE test of quantitative, analytic writing, or verbal. All of my materials will be sent to “Attn: The Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program of The University of Nebraska at Kearney”, and/or all of these listed materials will be officially submitted though the online application process. 1. Link available at: http://www.unk.edu/academics/csp/clinical-mental-health- counseling.php. Unofficial copies of transcripts (see pages 4-8). i. (Official records have been sent / are available to the institution and administration now). ii. Resume designed around the supplied institutional template: “Resume format form”. Appendix A and Appendix B: (see pages 10 and 11-23 [13 pages]). iii. Personal statement. Personal statement is based around the institutions demand to “write a personal statement that explains your motivation to become a counselor”. Appendix A and Appendix C: (see pages 10 and 24- 29 [6 pages]). iv. Grade statement. This statement justifies four grades in which I find inaccurate measurements of my ability though in which are inscribed on
  • 3. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 3 my permanent records. Appendix A and Appendix D: (see pages 10, 30-33 [4 pages]). 2. The University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Mental Health Counseling Master’s program does not list or has no availability to write to, or choose a specified professor for specific internship, or for intention of concentrating on any particular focus within graduate studies. 3. The process does not demand subject GRE scores, though I have a scheduled meeting / scheduled time to take the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) in Rawlins, Wyoming in April. I scheduled the GRE online at https://www.ets.org/gre/subject/register/reschedule/#subject, it cost $200.00 to register. I plan to reschedule this GRE to take place at the institution in Laramie and take place during the month of January or March. 4. Letters of Recommendation have yet to be bequeathed to me. I have sent a request for recommendation letters to nearly 20 or more, very close resources. I have invited approximately five previous supervisors, professors, and conglomerated / very valuable people to bequeath me a recommendation, none of these have been endowed to me for this process with the University of Nebraska at Kearney. 5. My plan to apply for this specific program initiated about six days ago when I had found the program; the program was hidden among hundreds of graduate schools offering graduate clinical psychology programs. I found the school in a very concentrated session while mining for smaller sized graduate schools within the U.S. by internet search engine. I am still writing and applying to community members, resources, and past references that I have built over the past years for robust and forthgoing / positive recommendation
  • 4. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 4 letters. I have nearly finished my application entirely, yet there are three recommendation letters needed before I can submit my application to the program. The other requirements and demands of the program are GPA stature at ~3.0 or above as well as to be within good academic standing with every institution ever attended. Other requisites of the program involve applying with the program, fulfilling all required areas of the online application (in which are all identified here besides relevant personal information expected of any personal application), and reading all of the policies, student handbooks, course sequences, and signing the practicum / internship contract. Applying for financial aid loans and submitting a FAFSA for the coming year of 2019 will also be crucial for acceptance. I have done so. I would be so honored to attend any meetings with these administrators and program managers, and I will likely make contact regularly with the program about the current status of graduate acceptance. The program’s application process is open until the month of April.

  • 12. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 12 Career Objectives I hope to surmount the problems, deviance and pathways that are in the way of the hopes and visions for a more perfect future. I will work to become an authority within society, psychology, and maintain world class affairs in counseling and psychology. I am disciplined with the ability to offer gargantuan services to society, and I want to accommodate people with these services through compound approaches and applications within psychology. My largest goals are to work with people, associate and interview with people in isolated settings, lead people towards triumph, work with people to enhance themselves, their lives, and the developing working fields of the future. I hope to assist people to integrate new understandings and utilize more futuristic tools. I aim to assist people of all stratum. I see that within my near future, I want to work on such projects as analyzing, designing and revising empirically supported clinical assessments, clinical treatment manuals, and clinical checklists and observation guidelines for practitioners, and for use in treatment, rehabilitation, treatment plans, and to better calculate clinical outcomes. I recognize a benefit in integrating with other psychology majors, scholars, professors and clinicians to design and utilize prevention applications, design programs concomitant to the ongoing changes in the field of psychology, psychological testing and clinical psychology. I want to take part in the history being made that integrates new methods of treatment into the further societies, such that, I want to assist to outsource available technologies into the places that have never experienced these opportunities, and/or synergize these technologies into places and apply these technologies where people are reaping the most benefit from them. The relevant technologies such as utilizing virtual reality, monitoring and recording EEG readings, and
  • 13. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 13 utilizing EEG / electro-neuro-diagnostics coupled to procedures in cognitive behavioral therapy and other counseling applications contain a great reserve of potential. I want to assist society to make changes and become more dependent on the use of electro-psychological techniques and procedures such as biofeedback strategies, neurofeedback procedures, photo-therapy treatments, and newly found scientific practices such as functional connectivity involved in psycho-therapy. I am devoted to helping society and society’s people adopt futuristic methods of health and mental health to assist individuals, independently, to become better at what they want to become better at, and to utilize information, data and health- technology to assist them to live longer, become more technological and versatile. I am motivated to impel all people to evolve into a more ultramodern society. In my career I desire to assist patients, clients, children, adults, civilians and military to cope and adapt to their changing body, their developing brain, their life and the unforeseeable events within their environment and humanity. My most statuesque goals are to interview people, educate people, rehabilitate, counsel people conservatively, and associate with people by the purest and most refined ethics known to man. I plan to meet new colleagues, build new business, fidelity, legacy, avantgarde, exactitude, and new avenues, for the applications of health, technology and psychology. I want to assemble relationships, outsource and network with people, and design new lives, new visions, new innovative standards and birth new possibilities. I want to succeed; I want to work with the entire spectrum of humanity by the means of history, and by rising standards. I deem myself focused and concentrated on medicine, psychology, neurology, major evidence-based prevention strategies and technology right now, because of the incoordination between these elements in the

I am working towards a career and future to counsel all, the ill and the healthy, and those of perfect politics. I want to practice medicine, psychology, science and utilize the depths and bounds of technology according to empirically supported treatment strategies. I hope to apply my knowledge base, the extensiveness of my academia, and my amassed experiences in business, the laboratory and medicine, to network and legislate amidst people to influence a more perfect, and a more brilliant society. The future ahead is a world that has infinite needs; my career goals are to survive and articulate these people by example, invest as wisely and conservatively as possible within business, earn recognitions for outstanding achievements, teach, influence within practice, collaborate, pioneer and establish movements towards betterment. I want to assist progressive people to lead the most legitimate and most superior worldly affairs.

  • 17. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 17 Additional Relevant Education Experiences: (Highlight/address any educational experiences in the areas of counseling, technology, diversity, and/or communication skills): I have invested countless hours towards trainings, certifications, certification programs, volunteer attendance to psychology related events, as I too have worked with as many scholars, and administrators as I could. I have spent thousands of hours in clinical settings, training within clinical training systems, and studying under respected health professionals, doctors, nurses and otherwise. In the past four years I have attained: OSHA 30 certification, three classes in AC/DC electricity (laboratory work), two classes in advanced composite manufacturing and repair (laboratory work); 4 first aid certifications, 2 height climb safety and rescue certifications, 4 CPR certifications, an OPID certification, 3 AED certifications, 2 MANDT training certifications (certification of manual holds / effective communication and de-escalation strategies), and 2 mental health first aid certifications. I have also / will attain my Certified Nurse’s Assistant training with the State of Wyoming. I am also on track to potentially achieve a certification from the APA as a Psychiatric technician. I have worked with DUI (Driver under the influence) programs, AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) across the country, a domestic violence association, and I have invested almost 150 credit hours or more into a bachelor’s degree in psychology and clinical psychology. • 18. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 18 (Highlight/address any work experiences in the areas of counseling, technology, diversity and/or communication skills): I worked as a direct support technician for a firm that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for the last 4 months in Laramie, Wyoming. I worked as a mental health technician with the Wyoming Department of Health for 8 months before then, just a few miles outside of the state of Utah. I assisted the institution with medical labor, one to one observations, 15 minutes wellness checks, group therapy, and record keeping among other medical duty. I acted as a mental health technician, and performed CNA duties during this time; I worked on a unit that served, monitored and worked for the health of about 80 patients, the institution held about 120 patients at any given time. In my path I have offered to help hundreds of people begin a journey to nicotine / cigarette cessation. I have applied for hundreds of positions, schools, and opportunities, I have talked with countless clinicians, I have interviewed numerous counselors and psychology-based professionals, I have met with numerous Universities, and I have met and shook hands with as many people as I could. I have been an entrepreneur for my own business, and I have conducted countless projects alone and of my own design, work, and industrial agenda. I have chased certain aspects of psychology and medicine throughout the country in search to build an education, knowledge base and professional finesse in that that integrates neurology, brain imaging, biofeedback and psychology. This in hope to bring these domains more available to the public by profession, to study psychology, to earn the proper degrees necessary to work as a respected clinician, and to perform among and amidst the current standards of psychological, clinical, and medical practice.
  • 19. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 19 Professional Development Activities: (Conferences, workshops, staff development, etc.): In the past few years, I have taken gargantuan steps to incrementally refine myself as a professional. What I do not want to ignore are the fashions of my health that I have worked to refine, and professional situations in which I have detailed superior aspects of my professionalism and ethicality. I also do not want to bypass the fact that there are more strategies, more forms of practice, and more difficult situations to experience to more precisely reform myself into a doctorate professional. In the case of writing for the University of Kansas at Kearney for this circumstance, I will share the least that I know will justify the work that I have done in the past to initiate professional habits. I have spent 120, going on 140 credit hours in college course work, college lab work, and college discussions, this should equivalate to a near 9,000 hours of in class / study hours in the past 5 years. I have had perfect attendance in my college career, though this includes one day in which was excused by letter of the Associate Dean of Students of the University of Wyoming, this so I could participate at a previously scheduled certified nurse’s assistant testing date for licensure with the State of Wyoming. I spent time with working within a British company on American soil that was adamant about staff development activities. The company had weekly luncheons, daily meetings, hefty trainings in professionalism, harassment prevention and otherwise. The company taught vital aspects of leadership by implementing mental health maintenance, staff communication

As far as my own professional development, while taking advisory and welcoming professional procedures from college education and field experience, I personally have authored an estimate / bid for over a million dollars to a maintenance company at F.E. Warren Airforce base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I have written, authored, and designed nearly 100 building restoration estimates, bids, contracts, and receipts all of my own construction within the past 5 years. I have written a bid that satisfied the orientation of a well-respected engineering company’s blueprints supplement to a detailed 200-page project plan. I plan to attend as many conferences, lectures, and exhibitions relevant to the future of psychology and medicine as becomes possible. I also envision myself to be motivated and ambitious to assist with orchestrating conferences and exhibitions in the coming months. Professional memberships: In the years past I have mostly navigated away from professional memberships, this in pursuits of my education, the depths of isolated studies, and I have stuck to a path that has been mostly focused on my education and incremental career progress. I participated in the Juvenile steering committee of Albany County, Wyoming in the year of 2016 (this is a committee that focuses on community juvenile law administration regarding delinquent youth, as well as prevention methods in the community and other administration approaches regarding the youth of Albany County). I had participated in the Trauma Informed Care Committee with the Wyoming Department of Health in the year 2018. The Trauma Informed Care Committee focused on

I had also taken part in City Council meetings in Concordia, Kansas the year of 2016- 2017. Leadership Experiences/Service Activities/Volunteer Service: I have had a lifetime packed with leadership experience. Leadership is an element that I have lived for, an attribute that I am loyal to, and a characteristic that I have sacrificed for. In the past five years I have volunteered to labor for DUI (driver under the influence) impact panels. I have worked to initiate a DUI impact panel program. I have worked with and attempted to join multiple DUI impact programs throughout the nation. I have volunteered and labored for, successfully, a domestic violence association in North central Kansas, (DVACK) and I began to work with a domestic violence association in Evanston, Wyoming. I have given time to senior citizen homes, and devoted hours to serving geriatric clients in three facilities, although these were paid internships or compensated missions, the agenda was the same. I have worked with psychiatric patients, intimately, one on one, professionally and respectfully in an inpatient setting closed and isolated from society. This was one of the greatest experiences of my life because I continuously found new elements of myself that I could offer humanity. Even though these too were compensated appointments, the agenda of advisory, education and human service was the same. I have worked with several companies throughout the nation, that I have taken a leadership / management / operations position above other employees. Most of these jobs were
  • 22. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 22 relevant to managing people, and motivating people in the fields of construction and/or hard labor. These are important histories to me because these were some of my first experiences being in charge and being in a position of authority; I assisted to orchestrate people for some highly reputable companies. I was good at this because I cared about people, I countered to motivate people on the basis that I knew that they all carrried great potential. These efforts were for such companies as Lance’s painting, The Wyoming Territorial prison, Sky-C renewable energy systems, Wyoming Department of Health, and Midwest Tower Service. On my own I have taken on great leadership roles within my own work, and in school. I maintained a stenography role in the Wind Smith club of Laramie County Community College for one half of a year in the year of 2015. I have interviewed scores of people about the topic and career choice of psychology, personal opinions of the military experience with veterans, and hopes and goals for the future with scholars, business people, and psychiatric patients. I have talked to hundreds of people throughout the country about the idea of quitting smoking, assisting them to approach the idea, as well as I have insisted success to people that I have met through programs based on cessation of drug and alcohol abuse. I have written to hundreds of people inquiring about financial opportunities, writing for grants, scholarships, and prospecting for a chance to initiate work projects, based on the principles of wise investing, and the agenda of graduating as an authority / administrative professional with my graduation back into society. I have worked with an institution called the Ark in which stands for “act of random kindness”, the firm assists and supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I had invested in a certification in “mental health first aid” on my own in the state of Kansas for the betterment of myself, and dedicated to the responsibility of helping people in crisis, and

Within the past two years I had also invested in a crisis management / communication training. My intention in doing so, was to acquire the leadership abilities to take a lead in administration within the community during a community crisis. I had built a small company that was devoted not only to restoration and renovation projects for historic homes, but also the company was specialized in assisting, recognizing, and by licensure and federal regulations, removing, abating and disposing lead and materials made from the lead element [Pb-82], and lead based paint. Lead based paint is known as a health threat to the health of young children and the community, if managed improperly or left unmaintained. The company also can and does assist civilians and military personnel to approach the first stages of nicotine / cigarette cessation. I have made several attempts to work with organizations relevant to drug and alcohol prevention or rehabilitation. I have shown a great focus on discipline, prudence, and psychological health and sobriety in my community affairs. Honors/Awards/Recognitions:

  • 25. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 25 Personal essay in explanation of personal motivation to become a counselor. The explanation for my motivation, and the reinforcement behind my drive to be recognized with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and licensed as a counselor, is that that I see myself as a worthy mental health professional. I have studied to be accepted as an authority within the practice of psychology and health in psychology. I deem the pursuit to become a clinical mental health counselor as priority; this direction is to serve as the foundation for my future and pursuits in psychology and mental health. I expect myself to sacrifice my opportunities to work towards a doctorate degree, after I have practiced as a working mental health clinician. I am well educated, I am prepared, and I plan to move onwards especially in the field of psychology, psychological principle and the applications of psychological methods. I have already built and reinforced a robust academic portfolio in which will help me to stabilize this business and my career. By taking the steps and taking on the workload to sustain a path in counseling now, in the years soon after, I will be a very utile, and substantial resource for those who are in need of a specialist with capabilities in mental health medicine, procedure, research, application and counseling-based treatments, worldwide. I recognize prevailing progress within psychology that focuses to assist people to refine themselves and better themselves without the need to treat psychopathology, yet to focus on the progress and refinement of their psychology, their health, their habits and their routine, to best enrich themselves, and their future. In the coming years, there will be endless progress in research, data collection and organization, and scientific support to push current trends in psychology and counseling. Counseling will continue toward advancement and towards evolution, regarding health and mental health. The most that I can contribute to these movements
  • 26. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 26 is to labor, discipline myself, study, learn, research and collaborate, to advance science, and to evolve prominently with my work to better perfect the arts and sciences of the counseling practice. I can acknowledge that becoming a credentialed clinical mental health counselor will allow me to offer the fields of psychology and medicine an accretion. I want to practice by the domain of knowledge that I have gained the past 5 years in numerous institutions, although to practice to the extent and upon the level in which I have been trained, I must persist to work within a graduate institution. There are many directions in which the essentials of psychology will move. Some ideas that I have about the future involve utilizing a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling and psychology, to assist with the creation of clinical communication handbooks, strategies and exercises to better perfect a clinical discipline, of proper and superior clinical communication. Such that there will always be a growing and permanent need to refine clinician’s and practitioner’s language and communication skills to best reflect a professional and superiorly disciplined set of language abilities. Clinicians should have ongoing and continuous education in the art of speaking, and making clinical decisions out of arrant discipline. I have yet found current methods of practice to perfect these abilities. There will be an increasing need to utilize data found in modern and ultramodern practices of psychology, to represent and identify the current progressive trends within counseling, psychology, treatment, psychotherapy, and rehabilitation within the clinical setting. There will be an increasing need to associate, correlate and compare findings within clinical mental health practices with other forms of medical treatment. There are endless needs to collaborate with people that are seeking help and seeking wellness from counseling, to establish
  • 27. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 27 the greater knowledge base for growth in medicine, statistics, technology, marketing, science and public manifesto. This will be so, to enlighten science of needed changes, navigate research and development, instigate governmental investments, instigate needed programs, diminish unhelpful or harmful procedures, and to adopt modern strategies to best suffice the health of society. I have recognized among about 80-90% of the businesses and institutions that I have had business transactions with, are in great need of counseling services, psycho-metric testing, and/or counseling / group-based therapies to accommodate the health and functioning of the people that manage the institutions. Nearly all but two firms that I have worked with, have not implemented psychology-based methods for staff and career development. To me this is an indicator of a need for counselors to tend to these problems and/or voluntarily offer accessible services to institutions, hospitals, firms, schools, businesses and other agencies to educate about mental health wellness programs, and group counseling tools. These programs and strategies would help coordinate working individuals with healthy inlets and outlets of business stress, and teach people needed communication tools and heuristics to properly engage in work affairs, in an ethical and civilized manner. The maintenance to mental health issues may be needed within every firm, business, organization, police station, correctional institution, and governmental organization in the entire world, because people cannot use the tools that they do not know exist. I am well educated about current strategies, principles and practices in counseling, medicine and psychology. I am aware that people are sensitive, that mankind is completely diverse, and that counseling, interviewing and assessing people is a dissected science built upon responsibility, and proper allocation of mass amounts of knowledge.
  • 28. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 28 I have numerous ideas for clinical advancement in psychology and neurology. I am interested in being able to counsel people, and administer treatments in mental health by cognitive behavior therapy; I also see beneficence in being able to offer numerous other forms of treatment strategies to the public. Some of the ideas that I have that can be fulfilled after achieving a graduate degree are such that of publishing articles, and/or books about the actual situation relevant to some clinicians and physicians, in which some health professionals are in need to offer more psycho-metric testing and checklist like analysis. Hence, a myriad of physicians and health professionals could utilize psycho-metric testing in the clinic where they are not now, while some physicians are unaware of the advantages that could come from doing so. I see purpose and potential of organizing a “symptom dictionary” in which identifies all known symptoms to psychopathological disorders, and/or psychiatric disorders, and differentiates these from side effects of prescription drugs, street drugs, common addictions, or other health problems. I see the need in the future to originate new words into mental health practice, such as I have discovered that there is viable use for the word “anosognosmiatic”, in which can be translated to mean “a form of, or a symptom relative to anosognosia”. Anosognosia is defined as a symptom in which an individual exhibits a psychopathological or physical symptom, though the individual himself / herself does not recognize it, or denies to recognize that they exhibit the symptom, or suffer from the said specific dysfunction. Currently the adjective “anosognosmiatic” is utile and necessary in diagnostics and recording medical intervention, though it is unfound in medical and American societal diction.
  • 29. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 29 I am aware that better engineered checklists at counseling intakes could benefit many clinicians and/or facilities, and perhaps better perfect the processes of modern prognosis. Within the future, with more and more available evidence based treatments, clinicians will need more health assessments to properly sift and segregate the individuals that would benefit from newly available treatments. More labor and attention to intake checklists would help to identify any present connections from the individual’s initial reason seeking counseling, to nervous system disorders or neurological disorders, and/or other health issues, or potential health issues. Thus, more carefully engineered intake forms could help diagnose and identify any, and all known genetic links to diseases or risk factors for disease or disorder, before the individual begins therapy. This would assist with the sensitivity and navigation involved in client / practitioner interventions. This approach would be especially useful with increasing interconnections between specific personality characteristics, and risk factors for some disorders and addiction. I am aware that many connections interconnecting neurology, psychology, psychopathology and health disorder are still evolving. This means that counseling, mental health assessments, mental health and psychiatric intakes, and therapeutic practices in the future could possibly and will most likely, adopt some practices and strategies that are already being implemented in neurology and medicine. Although these are recognizable possibilities to navigate the potential of the future, I think that these processes still are only succinct topics to the actual societal need for disciplined clinicians in mental health counseling. Society needs qualified and trustworthy mental health counselors to practice, migrate and build business and programs, to accommodate all, even those with ground zero counseling needs. Those in need of counseling, as is stated above, excludes no

My motivation to be accepted and to finish the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s mental health counseling program, is to compete with up and coming counselors, doctors, and clinics, to stay on track to my hopes and aspirations for the country, and otherwise. I have a multitude of reasons to be motivated to meet new people, and to carry the future onward, to the places and circumstances that we have imagined should make up our future. I want to work hard every day, I want to travail for the moment of progress, I want to see for all others before I see for myself, and I want to sacrifice personal luxury for professional skills, capability in medicine, and a recognition in psychology at a graduate level. I want to make all of the needed self-sacrifice, to earn a license in mental health counseling. I have studied to be superior to many of those who are welcome into the psychiatric and mental health field now; without payment, I am motivated because I know what I have been capable of – working here, and making irreversible movements for people yet to be born, and for problems that have never subsided. • 32. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 32 Grade Statement: Although I fit above the GPA cutting scores for the program of clinical mental health counseling at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, I feel it justified to provide an honest insight into the basis and reasons for some of the grades posted boldly on my transcript. Please see attached document that transcribes or translates that within the coming months, my grade in Psychology 4730 – Psychology & Law will be changed to a “B” grade, opposed to that of the current “C” grade. I recently won a trial with the institution of the University of Wyoming in regards of this grade. The grade appeals process in which this statement comes from was a redounding of four separate processes of appeals. I felt it essential to include with my official transcripts and application thesis, a means of supplement and justification for the lowest grades on my transcripts, and provide explanation for two visible withdrawals. PSYCH 1000 – Intro to Psychology I withdrew from Psychology 1000 – Intro to Psychology my first time taking the class, because of communication problems with the instructor. The instructor did not like my writing style, I believed that he had too many students in the class to be grading concisely, and in the end, this was my first experience in psychology. I felt intimidated by the professor, and I felt it best that we finish our relationship without this course after the professor refused to work with me, even after a meeting with the academic hierarchy within the institution. Shortly after this, I finished an identical psychology course with another professor. I earned a lower grade of a “C” in the latter psychology course, yet I moved on to change my major to psychology, and I then
  • 33. GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION PACKET 33 attained mostly “A” and “B” grades throughout all of my academic pursuits in higher level psychology courses. ECON 1020- Intro to Micro-Economics I had very few problems with this course, though in the end I earned an “F” grade. This grade can only be drawn to lower ranking raw scores on quizzes; the quizzes tested achievement of understanding of mathematics and mathematical concept. I attempted to appeal this grade within the Laramie County Community College grade appeals process, though by the time that I had taken the grade and started the appeals process, the institution and the professors had ruled that it would be, or that it was currently “too late” to initiate the grade appeals process. The time period of one year had passed, and accordingly to the institution’s student handbook, and the listed procedures relevant to the grade appeals process, one year had expired my rights to any grade revocation proceedings. I can supply the written essays in which I wrote for the class in which I believed were of high quality, as they mostly focused on the economic impact and negative externalities of liquor stores, liquor licenses, and the effects of liquor sales on small town Kansas communities. I drew lines of the interest of rising liquor license sales to rising crime rates. I can provide these essays, in which I felt were politically under-graded with “C’s” and “D” grades. Along with these essays I had written a discussion post approximately every other week, these “letters” were written about realistic experiences in the pursuit of success in an economic world. At this time, I was practicing as an entrepreneur with a small restoration / lead-based paint specialist company. I wrote about the hardships and triumphs of being a salesman, and the small

I felt that my work was not only quality and well respected, but that I had a fair role in teaching the class. Classmates were invited to read each other’s work, and I focused my writings on expressing the realities and potential gains from having a well-rounded understanding about microeconomics in a futuristic world, while selling traditional goods. LIFE 1010- Intro to Biology After I had spent three quarters of the semester severely struggling with encoding, studying and retaining this material, I withdrew from the class to save myself quality time to focus on my other course work, and to provide yours, and all other institutions and administrators a “W” symbol for “withdrew”, instead of a lower ranking academic outlier. My experiences stemmed from the extreme difficulty of the class and the heavily weighted course work expected for success in the class. The class included a laboratory section, in which I had an “A” grade when I was forced to drop the class. The discussion section was much more than a challenge to me because of the extent, exactitude and extreme precision of the material in which was tested for on exams. There was an abundance of material relevant to health and implementational to psychology and neurology within the course; this was the material I had inherently, and unconsciously focused on. There were enough legitimized distractions for me to be unable to properly align the very most valuable and important material, relevant to that of the material tested for on the exams.
