This document outlines Lona Jane Skaggs' vision and 5-year plan to open a family violence center and develop a training program to help families become self-sufficient. The plan involves completing a doctorate in general psychology, writing proposals, conducting research, and developing online lesson plans. The goal is to help families recover from domestic violence and prosper financially by teaching life and job skills. Resources will come from student career portfolios, state domestic violence statistics, and operating an online resume building business. The vision is to establish family learning centers providing education, community, and economic opportunities.

2. My vision is for a training program in centers where families are sheltered during the aftermath of
domestic violence. I will narrow my topic to the hypothalamus area of the brain that governs pleasure
and anxiety levels.
In five years, I hope to be developing a program that helps families return to a prosperous family, with
the qualities that will help them to be successful in their financial situations.
Northcentral University will provide me with mentors that will help me see my vision and fulfill it while I
continue to help my family in their struggles for success

Researching for college students to use their college training as a
resume builder is a seed money project that would collect research on
individual personality and goal behavior with agreement to participate
submissions at sign up. Each student will need $500 dollars to
accumulate the papers from their courses into a presentation and make
a portfolio for hire. One on one training will be provided on how to land
a job with the portfolio [not guaranteed].The course in one month long.
I can work with two students a day-five days a week [10 x 4 = 40 x 500 =
$20,000 per month in fees. X 12 = $240,000 in the first year minus
expenses]
After my expenses and salary, the proceeds will go for remodeling the
family violence center or starting my own prototype to accommodate
the training and program needs and study.This method will need
licensing and license personnel; and I will re-design the website.

4. I plan on collecting data from the career portfolio success that each student has accomplished and
formulating the success to help low income troubled families in similar models of success [taking what
they know and managing it into real life self sufficiency plans]. My second resource is a statistic resource
for the two issues: economics and family violence found at the State of Missouri record level which
holds public records on court cases for the connections between the two issues. There is a fact sheet
complied from 2010; (Rehagen, Gaynor, & Janku) can be retrieved for up to date information. It is on the
Office of State Courts Administration website in Jefferson City, MO. This resource will help discuss the
problems to policy makers in the different jurisdictions. This support will help analyze if the problem is
real and will motivate the cause for its completion.

5. Visions
• Families participating in learning centers to share in
home life and community living based upon what they
know and have experienced with: life skills.
• Early childhood development as daily schooling for
economic development of a family trade which
redesigns schools in the future curriculum as the
children from the participating families (the visualized
center forms a home away from home school where
families meet during each day either in protection
orders or in community preparedness / recovery
courses.
• A family learning zone in each community where [not
parents as teachers become community organizers in
schools as an aid program for training their children in
the next economy…building their future from infancy
• Research will be needed to allow organizers and families
see the problem and the next economy and how they
belong (actuation).
• Consenting will be a natural mind set for the benefits
they will receive.

• Year one 2014 – begin General Psychology doctorate program at Northcentral University an online college -as of April, 2014 -15 credits
completed 3.33 GPA
• Altered plan to withdraw from NCU and return toWalden University for a PhD in Human Services (2015)
• Organize material for publication to earn money and get recognition for vision
• This is where I am at in this vision
• Next:
• Write proposal in April 2015 [alter goal to 2016] for FamilyViolence Center in Bonne Terre, MO (can work part time and connect the center to
my laptop through Google Hangouts to conduct live group sessions on family work getting self-sufficient in economy-will need to write
lesson plans for Google hangouts: job hunting training; home life training for family to help manage jobs and searches. Meanwhile
conducting surveys on wants and needs of families – getting male inputs.
• Year two begins June 2015, [altered plan to switch universities and degree plan to a goodness of fit research PhD] meanwhile will be working
fulltime at the FamilyViolence Center organizing themes for better aid to the victims and extending the shelters to other areas in the 24th
Court Jurisdiction of Missouri: for men and women to cooperate in rehabilitating families – female and male equality with the theme of +
“loving” male headships in the home: Men Authority Stations, a place for teaching home economics – the new way [back to the basics: old
ways]. Gallantry training and feminine innate training (brining out the best in each).

• Year three begins June 2016 - Getting contract for writing news article for the 24th Jurisdiction to be
published in local newspapers and organize families for pursuit of happiness and wellbeing as a home
economic survival column – tracking needs of the family through letter writing on open forums like
Facebook.
• Year four begins June 2017 – first research completed on reactions to training and goal setting for year five.
• Dissertation: explaining outcomes of prototype help center
• Clarity studies: spread out work to statewide by Court Jurisdictions / writing and organizing others in the
work to form over regions and globally
• … or Null studies – write a book on limitations and failures and publish findings with narratives and step by
step circumstances that found the null hypothesis to be true with recommendations on what could be done
in year five and beyond.

8. I am 60 years old; in 5 years I will be 65 -
retirement age; but I am to go on and
work another 10 – 15 years.
I have a circulation and bone disorder [self-diagnosis-arthritis]. I do
not see any doctors. It is being corrected slowly with herbs and
exercise. I live an extremely easy life. How well I walk is not
important to the success of the touch stone.
My ability is to teach online.
I have a Postmaster Certificate inTeaching Psychology Online from
Walden University with my Masters Degree in General Psychology.
One on one sessions can all be done in Google Hangouts and
through electronic mail. I will also make DVDs on lesson plans.

10. I will write more here as I touch with reality in this
work I am putting in stone.
I just applied for a positon that I hope I can master with competency in what I have mastered.
Through application of what I have learned I will synthesize the competency and become proficient
at teaching others. The position is for a counselor to teach students as a counselor or advisor for
decision making in learning for competency. This position is part of an intermediate goal to furnish
funds to complete my doctorate degree and start my one on one portfolio business part of what I
