Majo Molfino is interviewed to discuss her work dismantling societal tendencies that hold women back. She focuses on debunking "good girl myths" that condition women to act in service of others rather than pursuing their potential. Molfino has written a book called "Break the Good Girl Myth" and hosts a podcast called "Heroine" to continue engaging women in conversations about empowerment. The interview explores whether women choose sacrifice out of duty or default into it to avoid backlash, and emphasizes making conscious choices.

6. Interesting, right? According to her, these are the
good girl myths. Myths that socially condition
women into acting good instead of achieving their
most powerful selfs. Now, she has released a book

Break the Good Girl Myth. No surprises there,
right? Her podcast, Heroine, continues this work by

So, what are we waiting for? Let's get started.
7. There is a time for sacrifice and if you are choosing
sacrifice or if you are deciding I want to do this sacrifice
in my relational role or duty as mother, daughter, sister
in law, that is beautiful, more power to you. The
question is, are you choosing it on a conscious level, or
are you defaulting it into it because you want to avoid
backlash, please, perform, because it's what you've
always known,
8. it's because what you've inherited from the systems
you grew up in? So I think this question of choice
versus default, right? This is very big for all the good
girl myths.
9. So, Majo, I have started reading your book, and full
disclosure, I haven't finished reading it, but I have a
fairly good idea of what you talk about in your book
because I have watched your videos and listened to
your podcast.
