• The Golden Fleece
• The Golden Fleece takes great pride in its reputation as York’s most haunted hostelry, something one bar manager
dismissed as nothing but tall tales for the tourists when she was first hired. However, it was not long before she was
eating her words! Just some of the things that she saw, heard and felt at The Golden Fleece include an apparition
moving across the bar before disappearing into the wall, the sound of footsteps, a bunch of keys rattling and
perhaps most chilling of all – an ice cold hand running up her spine! The bar manager is certainly not the only
person to have encountered the ghostly inhabitants of The Golden Fleece. In fact, many guests report seeing a
ghostly woman roaming the corridors and staircases in the early hours of the morning. Investigators believe that this
is the spirit of Lady Alice Peckitt who was the wife of a former Lord Mayor of York who lived next door to The Golden
Fleece which was once a coaching inn. Another spirit that is sometimes spotted is that of a Canadian Airman who
fell to his death from the upper windows and is now a permanent. Then of course, we could not forget One Eyed
Jack who appears in the bottom bar in a 16th century red coat carrying a pistol! These are just some of the many
ghosts sighted at The Golden Fleece.
Who: The bar manager, Lady Alice Peckitt (spirit), Canadian Airman (spirit) and One Eyed Jack (spirit)
Location: York, North Yorkshire, England, UK.
Ghost appearance: Moving across before disappearing, sound of footsteps, a bunch of keys rattling and
an ice cold hand running up the spine, roaming the corridor and staircase.
What happened: The Lady Alice Peckitt who lived in The Golden Fleece, she married Lord Mayor of York
who lived next door to The Golden Fleece. After a few years, they had so many guests who complained
because they spotted ghosts.
I chose the story because that was really terrifying. The fact, I was actually there at one time and I
heard all the true stories about ghosts in there. I was unluckily, I didn’t see any ghosts.

• The Black Swan Hotel
• The Black Swan Hotel is a historic inn that has been transformed into a boutique hotel. It actually consists
of 3 different buildings: a black and white timber framed house, a Georgian house and and Elizabethan
house. The Elizabethan part is believed to occupy the site where the historic inn has stood for many
centuries. Among the notable guests that stayed at the inn was William Wordsworth! The hotel features
all of the usual amenities that one might expect from a hotel like this, but with the added bonus of a
resident ghost! Staff and guests have both reported seeing a well dressed, older man around the hotel and
also the spirit of a young blonde woman as well! There is also a pair of legs with no body attached seen in
the private quarter on occasion!
Who: Staff, guests, older man (spirit), young blonde woman and ghost’s legs.
Location: York, North Yorkshire, England, UK.
Ghost appearance: Well dressed older man, spirit of a young blonde woman and ghost’s legs
with no body.
What happened: There were three different building hotels, all the staff and guests spotted
ghosts. They saw a well dressed old man and young blonde woman around the hotel. Also
they saw a ghost’s legs in the private quarter sometimes.
I choose the story because hotels scary. There had ghost’s legs with no body in one room!
That was really a nightmare hotel.

• York Museum
• One of the most haunted places in York and home to one of the most infamous York ghost stories is the
York Museum. In 1953, the museum caretaker, a Mr Jonas claimed to see a little man that he described as
being dressed in Edwardian clothing. This happened shortly after Mr Jonas and his wife had locked up the
Museum after closing and returned to their accommodation in the basement. As the pair settled down to
relax they heard footsteps in the museum above and Mr Jonas went upstairs to check things out. It was
then that he saw the man pacing the floor. Assuming the man had somehow gotten locked inside he
approached him and laid a hand on his shoulder at which point he promptly disappeared! On another
occasion Mr Jonas was with a colleague, again after the museum was closed and the apparition made
another appearance this time witnessed by both men. From time to time new reports surface, but there is
no information about who this man might be or why he is hanging around in the museum!
Who: Mr Jonas (Caretaker), Mr Jonas’s wife, Two men.
Location: York, North Yorkshire, England, UK.
Ghost appearance: Footsteps, pacing on floor, laid a hand on his shoulder, hanging
around in the museum.
What happened: In 1953, Mr Jonas and his wife had locked up the Museum and they
heard footsteps. Also, Mr Jonas saw a little man who wore Edwardian clothing, he
saw the man pacing on floor.
I choose the story because I wasn’t expecting Mr Jonas to see what he saw, the little
man wear Edwardian clothes, that was must be in the early 20th century.

Planning
Idea Generation/Initial Reaction
Proposal
Working Title:
My title is The Paranormal House.
Audience:
I decided to my audience can be both genders because I want to both genders to read my ghost story. I chose the
audience’s age between 15 to 24. Under 15 are not allowed to listen to my story because my story is not appropriate for
children and I know my story will be give the children in the audience nightmares. Also some over 24 don’t like to listen
to my ghost story because they have different feelings. I think people over 24 don’t like scary things as much because
they are more mature and have other things to do. I think most young people will want to read my ghost story. My
project could get popular with my target audience. They will want to read my script and listen to the story. I would like to
make sure all my audience will like my ghost story because I will create my ghost story terrifying! I know both genders
will like my story because most teenagers love horror/thrilling stories. Young people want to know what happened when
people’s see ghosts and their reactions with ghosts. Also, my young audience love to be made to jump and scream. My
audience’s entertainment is relaxation and enjoyment, because my audience will enjoy my story.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
I chose a different way to produce the piece, I chose to create a script using the drama style with actors because I am
Deaf and I can’t create something based on sound and use audio. I chose it because I like using vocabulary that links with
drama to give my audience lots of visual description, so they can imagine what my story is about. I will be creating a
ghost story script for my audience, and they will read my script. My idea for the ghost story is three teenagers have been
caught by the ghost. I will be adding words that link with sounds like “footstep” or ”screaming” or “creaking”. I can make
both hearing and Deaf people in my audience imagine what it sounds like. I researched some ghost stories linked to my
document. I found the website called Haunted rooms, their stories help me to create and imagine my own story. I picked
some ideas from their stories, like what happened when they see the ghost to help me to create my idea and think
about how actors will catch the ghost and what their reactions will be like. Also, sounds, movement, ghost’s appearance.
Script planning
• Three characters: One boy called Keegan, Two girls called Amy and Amber.
• Ghosts: Demon, little girl and bodyguard.
• Start of the story: Three teenagers break into the house - the house looks very
ancient. They start looking around the house. Two girls are moaning because
they want go to home but the boy still wants to adventure and explore around
the house. They suddenly hear a little girl screaming. They become afraid. They
are trying to escape but they are lost because the house is so big.
• Middle of the story: The boy decides to stay little bit more because he wants to
see if the ghost is real or not. The girls agree with him and they start looking
around again. They decide they want to spilt up, so its easier to find the ghost.
Then, they spilt up. Amy went to the living room and she saw the large frame.
The frame of the man who lived in the house. Then, Amy caught the bodyguard
in the corner of living room and she freaks out and runs away.
• End of the story: Afterwards, Amy and Amber are lost. Keegan is alone and he
is close to the exit door. He stops and look at the paper on the floor. He picks it
up and reads the paper. The paper said “you’re next” then the door starts
opening. The demon stands at door with bright red on the background and the
demon grabs him and takes him away.

really loud like a stomp and he opens the door. The ghost starts a loud high
pitch screaming and he shouts “No” with echoing.
Production
Daily Reflection Day 1
• I started by creating a draft script first, because
I need to organize lines and sounds, and put
them in order.
• I had planned for sound storyline to help me
think of more ideas to add to the script.
• If I create the professional script straight away, I
feel my script will be a mess and I will forgot to
add everything.
• I must always draft first before the professional
final draft.
• For the draft script I used Microsoft Word, so it
looks like a normal document and in order.
Daily Reflection Day 2
• After, I organized my draft script and I started
creating professional script.
• I used the font called “typewrite” because
that links with a professional script’s font.
• I added short describing sections like “the
three teenagers are breaking in the house”,
this will give the audience more visual
information and help them imagine as they
read it.
• For my first draft I used Microsoft Word, so
the layout was all straight to the left side of
the page, but when I used the professional
formatting, it was all different, some of the
lines were set in the middle of the page, and
some to the left.
Daily Reflection Day 3
• I change some lines for spelling and grammar.
• My script was different from my group because
they are hearing, so they use are creating and
recording a story for the radio. I am deaf and I
created a script for reading. I researched the
format drama audio to see how to create a
professional radio script, even though I will not be
recording it.
• I had script experience from two years ago,
because I created two short films which meant I
had to create two scripts. I also know how to use a
script, because last year I did a Level 2 Performing
Arts course, so I had to read from and learn
scripts. We also had to create our own scripts for
some of the performances we did.
• My group are editing their recording to hear any
sounds. I will be editing some lines, removing and
adding some lines and details.
Daily Reflection Day 4
Draft Professional Script Real Professional ScriptDraft Script
Now, I have four scripts, you can see four different scripts because I’ve been so far and developed to
create the script from first draft to the professional. Before the final professional script I must make
sure to check for spelling and grammar because I am Deaf, of course! And I still struggle to make
English sentence., because the grammar and struture of British Sign Language is very different to
English. So, I asked my support help to change the grammar. You will see the red circle. I am really
happy with my script because I want to show how I have improved my script. After I finished the
professional script and I asked my tutor for feedback. I added some lines on the final professional
script. I want to make sure my audience understands what my story is about.
Final Real Professional Script
Evaluation
Research
• I researched on the internet and found some information about ghost stories. I
found some that were based on true stories about haunted places in York. I
researched it because I live in York and I want to know about ghost stories in York.
• I researched more than three ghost stories. It was difficult to pick three stories
because there are lots of amazing ghost stories. I must pick three stories because
there was not enough time for me to explain all of the stories.
• I found three ghost stories about York. All the three stories are similar, set in hotels
and pubs. I will create my story in a different location because if I create a story with
the same location it could make my audience feel bored.
• I read all the stories and I was interested in them because all the stories are
terrifying and are like a nightmare. I want to create my audio drama script similar to
their stories. I picked some of the stories to help me to create more ideas in my
script.
• I preferred to researched true life ghost stories because that is like a worst
nightmare ever! Some made up ghost stories are a little bit boring and people know
the stories are faked. But, some true ghost stories are scary because people know
the stories are real. That’s why I picked the true stories.
• I knew most people are more interested true ghost stories than made up ghost
stories because they want to know what happened and what it looks like.
Planning
• I had lots of ideas of characters and sounds on my list. I created three characters and
lots of scary sounds.
• I must make a list because I need to get more ideas about characters and sounds. I
picked some sounds from three existing ghost stories because my ideas and sounds
are similar to their sounds, like footsteps and screaming.
• Before I created the professional script, I created a draft script because I need to
organize all the lines and sounds in the right order. I want to make my script look
clear and I want people to understand that the story is about ghosts.
• If I didn’t create a draft script then my professional script will be mess. That’s why I
need to prepare, and sort out with lines and sounds in my script.
• Planning is important because I need to plan the script, and make changes to make
look better. If I have more ideas then I can add some lines or sounds in the draft
script.
• I created planning for my script for my idea and story for the start, middle and end
of the story. I had two planning scripts because I want to show and compare two
scripts and how they look different.
• First planning draft, I put my idea for my story on there and I added characters and
sounds too. Then, second planning draft I had changed my mind to change some of
the sounds. I want to show that I have improved my script planning and my script.
Time Management
• My two weeks of creating my script was tight because I originally wasn’t expecting
the dedline until three weeks, but actually we only had 2 weeks.
• Lucky, my tutor give me a list of what to do on what days to help me to follow the
order of the days because my tutor knows I’m stressed in a short time frame.
• Day one, I researched all the ghost stories and collected three ghost stories and
explained why did I choose them.
• Day two, I started script planning for my idea about characters and sounds. Also
explaining about how to write the script.
• Day three, I created draft script and organized all the lines and sounds in place and
space. I kept repeating and checking to make sure everything is there from my
script planning.
• Day four, I started to create the professional script.
• Day five, after I finished creating my professional script, I asked my CSW
(Communication Support Worker) to change it for correct spelling and grammar.
Then, when I got everything finished with my script and I started with evaluation.
• Day six and seven, I continued with my evaluation. When I finished with the
evaluation and I asked my CSW to change all the grammar to follow English
sentence structure, as BSL is very different.
• Luckily, my work was not out of control or over the decline, my work was under
control and I got everything finished in perfect time.
Technical Qualities
• My script is different to the professional script in some ways. I think the professional script
is more professional because they have a wider range of vocabulary, such as “IF A SOUND
OR MUSIC CUE INTERRUPTS A CHARACTER'S SPEECH ON THE SAME PAGE...” whereas my
vocabulary is more like everyday language, and less professional.
• Also, the layout of the scripts a different. The professional script has a subheading such as
“sound:” and then lists what sounds there will be, but my script has the sound in brackets.
• They are similar in the way that a scene opens, there is a brief description of where the
characters are and if it is day or night.
• The professional script also doesn't have any characters talking like mine does, it just has
an explanation, but my script has the characters talking.
• The professional script has numbers down the left side, so you can see the order, mine
doesn’t have numbers, it just flows.
• Also, the professional script’s characters don’t have names, but my characters do.
• Both scripts are similar at the end, the end is clear, we have both written “end”.
• Another similarity is the first page of the scripts, they are both very clear, and simple. They
both have the title and the author.
Audience Appeal
My audience will know
who is talking.
My audience will
know what are
sounds.
My audience will know
where they are.
I want my script to look
nice and clear because I
can give it to my
audience, and they will
read it, if it is clear is
will help them
understand more.
I must add exclamation
mark because I want my
audience to know my
characters were shouting.
My audience will know
the story is starting
I added brief
description to make
my audience
imagine the setting

  • 2. Existing Products Research • The Golden Fleece • The Golden Fleece takes great pride in its reputation as York’s most haunted hostelry, something one bar manager dismissed as nothing but tall tales for the tourists when she was first hired. However, it was not long before she was eating her words! Just some of the things that she saw, heard and felt at The Golden Fleece include an apparition moving across the bar before disappearing into the wall, the sound of footsteps, a bunch of keys rattling and perhaps most chilling of all – an ice cold hand running up her spine! The bar manager is certainly not the only person to have encountered the ghostly inhabitants of The Golden Fleece. In fact, many guests report seeing a ghostly woman roaming the corridors and staircases in the early hours of the morning. Investigators believe that this is the spirit of Lady Alice Peckitt who was the wife of a former Lord Mayor of York who lived next door to The Golden Fleece which was once a coaching inn. Another spirit that is sometimes spotted is that of a Canadian Airman who fell to his death from the upper windows and is now a permanent. Then of course, we could not forget One Eyed Jack who appears in the bottom bar in a 16th century red coat carrying a pistol! These are just some of the many ghosts sighted at The Golden Fleece. Who: The bar manager, Lady Alice Peckitt (spirit), Canadian Airman (spirit) and One Eyed Jack (spirit) Location: York, North Yorkshire, England, UK. Ghost appearance: Moving across before disappearing, sound of footsteps, a bunch of keys rattling and an ice cold hand running up the spine, roaming the corridor and staircase. What happened: The Lady Alice Peckitt who lived in The Golden Fleece, she married Lord Mayor of York who lived next door to The Golden Fleece. After a few years, they had so many guests who complained because they spotted ghosts. I chose the story because that was really terrifying. The fact, I was actually there at one time and I heard all the true stories about ghosts in there. I was unluckily, I didn’t see any ghosts.
  • 3. Existing Products Research • The Black Swan Hotel • The Black Swan Hotel is a historic inn that has been transformed into a boutique hotel. It actually consists of 3 different buildings: a black and white timber framed house, a Georgian house and and Elizabethan house. The Elizabethan part is believed to occupy the site where the historic inn has stood for many centuries. Among the notable guests that stayed at the inn was William Wordsworth! The hotel features all of the usual amenities that one might expect from a hotel like this, but with the added bonus of a resident ghost! Staff and guests have both reported seeing a well dressed, older man around the hotel and also the spirit of a young blonde woman as well! There is also a pair of legs with no body attached seen in the private quarter on occasion! Who: Staff, guests, older man (spirit), young blonde woman and ghost’s legs. Location: York, North Yorkshire, England, UK. Ghost appearance: Well dressed older man, spirit of a young blonde woman and ghost’s legs with no body. What happened: There were three different building hotels, all the staff and guests spotted ghosts. They saw a well dressed old man and young blonde woman around the hotel. Also they saw a ghost’s legs in the private quarter sometimes. I choose the story because hotels scary. There had ghost’s legs with no body in one room! That was really a nightmare hotel.
  • 4. Existing Products Research • York Museum • One of the most haunted places in York and home to one of the most infamous York ghost stories is the York Museum. In 1953, the museum caretaker, a Mr Jonas claimed to see a little man that he described as being dressed in Edwardian clothing. This happened shortly after Mr Jonas and his wife had locked up the Museum after closing and returned to their accommodation in the basement. As the pair settled down to relax they heard footsteps in the museum above and Mr Jonas went upstairs to check things out. It was then that he saw the man pacing the floor. Assuming the man had somehow gotten locked inside he approached him and laid a hand on his shoulder at which point he promptly disappeared! On another occasion Mr Jonas was with a colleague, again after the museum was closed and the apparition made another appearance this time witnessed by both men. From time to time new reports surface, but there is no information about who this man might be or why he is hanging around in the museum! Who: Mr Jonas (Caretaker), Mr Jonas’s wife, Two men. Location: York, North Yorkshire, England, UK. Ghost appearance: Footsteps, pacing on floor, laid a hand on his shoulder, hanging around in the museum. What happened: In 1953, Mr Jonas and his wife had locked up the Museum and they heard footsteps. Also, Mr Jonas saw a little man who wore Edwardian clothing, he saw the man pacing on floor. I choose the story because I wasn’t expecting Mr Jonas to see what he saw, the little man wear Edwardian clothes, that was must be in the early 20th century.

  • 8. Proposal Working Title: My title is The Paranormal House. Audience: I decided to my audience can be both genders because I want to both genders to read my ghost story. I chose the audience’s age between 15 to 24. Under 15 are not allowed to listen to my story because my story is not appropriate for children and I know my story will be give the children in the audience nightmares. Also some over 24 don’t like to listen to my ghost story because they have different feelings. I think people over 24 don’t like scary things as much because they are more mature and have other things to do. I think most young people will want to read my ghost story. My project could get popular with my target audience. They will want to read my script and listen to the story. I would like to make sure all my audience will like my ghost story because I will create my ghost story terrifying! I know both genders will like my story because most teenagers love horror/thrilling stories. Young people want to know what happened when people’s see ghosts and their reactions with ghosts. Also, my young audience love to be made to jump and scream. My audience’s entertainment is relaxation and enjoyment, because my audience will enjoy my story. Project Concept (approx. 200 words) I chose a different way to produce the piece, I chose to create a script using the drama style with actors because I am Deaf and I can’t create something based on sound and use audio. I chose it because I like using vocabulary that links with drama to give my audience lots of visual description, so they can imagine what my story is about. I will be creating a ghost story script for my audience, and they will read my script. My idea for the ghost story is three teenagers have been caught by the ghost. I will be adding words that link with sounds like “footstep” or ”screaming” or “creaking”. I can make both hearing and Deaf people in my audience imagine what it sounds like. I researched some ghost stories linked to my document. I found the website called Haunted rooms, their stories help me to create and imagine my own story. I picked some ideas from their stories, like what happened when they see the ghost to help me to create my idea and think about how actors will catch the ghost and what their reactions will be like. Also, sounds, movement, ghost’s appearance.
  • 9. Script planning • Three characters: One boy called Keegan, Two girls called Amy and Amber. • Ghosts: Demon, little girl and bodyguard. • Start of the story: Three teenagers break into the house - the house looks very ancient. They start looking around the house. Two girls are moaning because they want go to home but the boy still wants to adventure and explore around the house. They suddenly hear a little girl screaming. They become afraid. They are trying to escape but they are lost because the house is so big. • Middle of the story: The boy decides to stay little bit more because he wants to see if the ghost is real or not. The girls agree with him and they start looking around again. They decide they want to spilt up, so its easier to find the ghost. Then, they spilt up. Amy went to the living room and she saw the large frame. The frame of the man who lived in the house. Then, Amy caught the bodyguard in the corner of living room and she freaks out and runs away. • End of the story: Afterwards, Amy and Amber are lost. Keegan is alone and he is close to the exit door. He stops and look at the paper on the floor. He picks it up and reads the paper. The paper said “you’re next” then the door starts opening. The demon stands at door with bright red on the background and the demon grabs him and takes him away.
  • 10. Script planning 2 • Three characters: One boy called Keegan, Two girls called Amy and Amber. • Ghosts: Demon, little girl and bodyguard. • Start of the story: Three teenagers break into the house, the house looks ancient. They are looking around the house. Two girls are moaning because they want go to home but the boy still wants to explore around the house. They suddenly hear a little girl screaming. They all become afraid. They trying to escape but they are lost because the house is too big, and they have never been in the house before. • Middle of the story: The boy decides to stay little bit longer because he wants to see if the ghost is real or not. The girls agree with him and they start looking around again. They decide they want to spilt up, as it will be easier to find the ghost. Then, they spilt up. Amy went to living room and she heard a loud and deep groan. Amy caught the bodyguard in the corner of living room and she freaks out and runs away. • End of the story: After he loses Amy and Amber, Keegan is alone and he is close to the exit door. He stops and looks at the door. Someone knocks at the door really loud like a stomp and he opens the door. The ghost starts a loud high pitch screaming and he shouts “No” with echoing.
  • 12. Daily Reflection Day 1 • I started by creating a draft script first, because I need to organize lines and sounds, and put them in order. • I had planned for sound storyline to help me think of more ideas to add to the script. • If I create the professional script straight away, I feel my script will be a mess and I will forgot to add everything. • I must always draft first before the professional final draft. • For the draft script I used Microsoft Word, so it looks like a normal document and in order.
  • 13. Daily Reflection Day 2 • After, I organized my draft script and I started creating professional script. • I used the font called “typewrite” because that links with a professional script’s font. • I added short describing sections like “the three teenagers are breaking in the house”, this will give the audience more visual information and help them imagine as they read it. • For my first draft I used Microsoft Word, so the layout was all straight to the left side of the page, but when I used the professional formatting, it was all different, some of the lines were set in the middle of the page, and some to the left.
  • 14. Daily Reflection Day 3 • I change some lines for spelling and grammar. • My script was different from my group because they are hearing, so they use are creating and recording a story for the radio. I am deaf and I created a script for reading. I researched the format drama audio to see how to create a professional radio script, even though I will not be recording it. • I had script experience from two years ago, because I created two short films which meant I had to create two scripts. I also know how to use a script, because last year I did a Level 2 Performing Arts course, so I had to read from and learn scripts. We also had to create our own scripts for some of the performances we did. • My group are editing their recording to hear any sounds. I will be editing some lines, removing and adding some lines and details.
  • 15. Daily Reflection Day 4 Draft Professional Script Real Professional ScriptDraft Script Now, I have four scripts, you can see four different scripts because I’ve been so far and developed to create the script from first draft to the professional. Before the final professional script I must make sure to check for spelling and grammar because I am Deaf, of course! And I still struggle to make English sentence., because the grammar and struture of British Sign Language is very different to English. So, I asked my support help to change the grammar. You will see the red circle. I am really happy with my script because I want to show how I have improved my script. After I finished the professional script and I asked my tutor for feedback. I added some lines on the final professional script. I want to make sure my audience understands what my story is about. Final Real Professional Script
  • 17. Research • I researched on the internet and found some information about ghost stories. I found some that were based on true stories about haunted places in York. I researched it because I live in York and I want to know about ghost stories in York. • I researched more than three ghost stories. It was difficult to pick three stories because there are lots of amazing ghost stories. I must pick three stories because there was not enough time for me to explain all of the stories. • I found three ghost stories about York. All the three stories are similar, set in hotels and pubs. I will create my story in a different location because if I create a story with the same location it could make my audience feel bored. • I read all the stories and I was interested in them because all the stories are terrifying and are like a nightmare. I want to create my audio drama script similar to their stories. I picked some of the stories to help me to create more ideas in my script. • I preferred to researched true life ghost stories because that is like a worst nightmare ever! Some made up ghost stories are a little bit boring and people know the stories are faked. But, some true ghost stories are scary because people know the stories are real. That’s why I picked the true stories. • I knew most people are more interested true ghost stories than made up ghost stories because they want to know what happened and what it looks like.
  • 18. Planning • I had lots of ideas of characters and sounds on my list. I created three characters and lots of scary sounds. • I must make a list because I need to get more ideas about characters and sounds. I picked some sounds from three existing ghost stories because my ideas and sounds are similar to their sounds, like footsteps and screaming. • Before I created the professional script, I created a draft script because I need to organize all the lines and sounds in the right order. I want to make my script look clear and I want people to understand that the story is about ghosts. • If I didn’t create a draft script then my professional script will be mess. That’s why I need to prepare, and sort out with lines and sounds in my script. • Planning is important because I need to plan the script, and make changes to make look better. If I have more ideas then I can add some lines or sounds in the draft script. • I created planning for my script for my idea and story for the start, middle and end of the story. I had two planning scripts because I want to show and compare two scripts and how they look different. • First planning draft, I put my idea for my story on there and I added characters and sounds too. Then, second planning draft I had changed my mind to change some of the sounds. I want to show that I have improved my script planning and my script.
  • 19. Time Management • My two weeks of creating my script was tight because I originally wasn’t expecting the dedline until three weeks, but actually we only had 2 weeks. • Lucky, my tutor give me a list of what to do on what days to help me to follow the order of the days because my tutor knows I’m stressed in a short time frame. • Day one, I researched all the ghost stories and collected three ghost stories and explained why did I choose them. • Day two, I started script planning for my idea about characters and sounds. Also explaining about how to write the script. • Day three, I created draft script and organized all the lines and sounds in place and space. I kept repeating and checking to make sure everything is there from my script planning. • Day four, I started to create the professional script. • Day five, after I finished creating my professional script, I asked my CSW (Communication Support Worker) to change it for correct spelling and grammar. Then, when I got everything finished with my script and I started with evaluation. • Day six and seven, I continued with my evaluation. When I finished with the evaluation and I asked my CSW to change all the grammar to follow English sentence structure, as BSL is very different. • Luckily, my work was not out of control or over the decline, my work was under control and I got everything finished in perfect time.
  • 20. Technical Qualities • My script is different to the professional script in some ways. I think the professional script is more professional because they have a wider range of vocabulary, such as “IF A SOUND OR MUSIC CUE INTERRUPTS A CHARACTER'S SPEECH ON THE SAME PAGE...” whereas my vocabulary is more like everyday language, and less professional. • Also, the layout of the scripts a different. The professional script has a subheading such as “sound:” and then lists what sounds there will be, but my script has the sound in brackets. • They are similar in the way that a scene opens, there is a brief description of where the characters are and if it is day or night. • The professional script also doesn't have any characters talking like mine does, it just has an explanation, but my script has the characters talking. • The professional script has numbers down the left side, so you can see the order, mine doesn’t have numbers, it just flows. • Also, the professional script’s characters don’t have names, but my characters do. • Both scripts are similar at the end, the end is clear, we have both written “end”. • Another similarity is the first page of the scripts, they are both very clear, and simple. They both have the title and the author.
  • 21. Audience Appeal My audience will know who is talking. My audience will know what are sounds. My audience will know where they are. I want my script to look nice and clear because I can give it to my audience, and they will read it, if it is clear is will help them understand more. I must add exclamation mark because I want my audience to know my characters were shouting. My audience will know the story is starting I added brief description to make my audience imagine the setting
