2. Theory
Tractor:
โข Tractor is a machine, which develops traction for
the purpose of pulling loads/implements.
โข Traction is developed under the rear wheels of
tractor when powered by an engine.
โข Tractor is a versatile machine having multi uses in
agriculture both for land reclamation and for
carrying out various operations involved in the
production of agricultural crops.
3. Main Components of tractor
A tractor is an automobile, which has;
โข An engine
โข Power transmission system (clutch, gear box,
differential and final drives)
โข Hydraulic system along with some
miscellaneous components such as steering,
brakes, alternator, three point linkage, etc.
4. Instrument panel/Dashboard
A dashboard / instrument panel (IP) is a control panel usually
located directly ahead of a vehicle's driver, displaying
instrumentation and controls for the vehicle's operation.
Usually instrument panel is equipped with following
instruments;
โข Tachometer
โข Hour Meter
โข Fuel gauge
โข Temperature gauge
โข Oil Pressure gauge
โข Ampere Meter, etc.
