All of this is basically a vehicle for character

state ideology they believe in.
4. ->Citizenship Education is one of the basic sciences
that equips students to continue their studies and for
the provision of life in society, nation and state, in
accordance with the dimensions developed in
learning Citizenship Education.
->Citizenship Education is broadly formulated to
include the process of preparing the younger
generation to take on their roles and responsibilities
as citizens.
5. 2. THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY AS A SOURCE AND MEDIA FOR
CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION
The family is the first and foremost educational
institution for their children, both for the education
of the nation, the world, and the state so that the
way parents educate their children will have an
effect on learning (Slameto, (2003).
-> With the functioning of the role of the family,
Civic Education in schools will be easier to
strengthen the character values of the students.
6. 3. THE ROLE OF COMMUNITY CIVIC IN CIVIC
EDUCATION TEACHING
Every society will continue to strive to continue its
culture with a certain adaptation process
according to the style of each era period to the
younger generation of its successors through
education which is known as the socialization
process. The functioning of families and schools
needs to be supported by the roles and functions of
the community (Wardhani, Narimo; 2018).
7. Urie Bronfenbrenner explains the theory of human
development with his ecological theory. Child
development is not only influenced by school, but is
influenced by a very complex environment.

8. Formation and strengthening of the nation's
character is the task of all parties, starting
from elements of schools (educational
institutions), parents, and the surrounding
community.
Therefore, it is necessary to build cooperation
between schools (educational institutions) and
parents and schools (educational institutions)
with the community.
9. Building character to become a smart and good citizen
can be done in many ways, namely education,
habituation, and example.
There are many ways that can be done in teaching
Citizenship Education in the family, at home, and in the
community.
The Javanese have their own style in teaching education
to their people, through fairy tales, songs, noble pitutur or
advice, orders, and prohibitions. All of this is always
associated with elements of trust that are believed by
the community.

11. Sumantri (2010) stated that "community civics is one of
the materials for Citizenship Education which is taught
through the lecture method which is often conveyed to
the public including the general public through religious
"institutions" such as da'wah methods, role models, and
training methods through civic mission programs".
The material for community civics consists of civic
education, democracy education, civic literacy which is
moral education and social behavior education.
12. Habituation is also carried out through community
activities such as deliberation, village clean-ups, patrols,
and other community activities that function and aim to
maintain and build a good civilization.
->Citizenship Education is not just a school program. The
teaching of Citizenship Education must be supported by
strengthening the role of parents and the community such
as religious leaders, community leaders, traditional leaders,
and society as a whole.
13. CONCLUSION
The teaching of Citizenship Education in the family, at home, and in
the community is carried out without planning. Nevertheless, the
teaching of Citizenship Education actually exists in the family, home,
and community in the form of unstructured and systematic teaching
such as in school, not bound by time and material, but still has a
purpose. The way of teaching also varies according to the situation
at hand, such as in the family through discussion, advice, habituation,
and example. Meanwhile, in the community, the teaching of
Citizenship Education is included in community activities such as
deliberation in meetings, village clean-ups, and other community
activities. With the synergy of teaching Citizenship Education in the
family, home, and community, it will strengthen what has been done
by the school. Thus, efforts to form smart and good citizens can be
achieved.
