To whom it may concern:
The purpose of this letter is to provide a recommendation for Ina Weca for a management training
position in Sales and Marketing. I had the pleasure of working with Ina when I was teaching abroad
for a semester in Switzerland, where Ina is a student at Cesar Ritz Colleges. I taught a Hotel Sales &
Marketing class as an elective for the CRC students.
Within the framework of the Hotel Sales & Marketing class, students were tasked with working with a
local hotel. The students were asked to approach all assignments as if they were a salesperson for
the hotel. They worked through individual tasks to familiarize themselves with the local market
including: assessing the marketing environment, evaluating the competitive set, evaluating STR
reports for the local area, conducting a SWOT analysis, assessing market demand generators,
conducting company research, assessing the digital and social media environment, and creating an
individual sales action plan. The final project for the class was to create a working marketing plan
for the hotel. Groups presented their final plans to the ownership and management of the hotel.
Throughout the Hotel Sales & Marketing class I observed Ina. I also worked with her one-on-one when
she came to my office to discuss ideas and ask questions. I appreciated her attention to detail and
her creative thinking. She worked well with the other members of her marketing plan team and made
significant contributions to her group.
Based on my experiences with Ina in class, I would highly recommend her for a management training
position in sales and marketing. Before becoming a professor, I was a hotel operator for over 25
years and based on Ina’s class performance, I would not have hesitated to hire her in my own
company.
