 PREPARE THEM FOR LIFE IN A COMPETITIVE,GLOBAL
MARKETPLACE.
 INDIVIDUAL TEACHERS MUST BE ABLE TO SEE DIRECT
BENEFITS TO THEM AND THEIR STUDENTS.
 EVERY MUST BE ABLE INVEST IN THE NEED.
THE PARTICIPANTS ARE NOT INVOLVED IN
THE PLANNING
 ENGAGE YOUR COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS:
• PARENTS
• STUDENTS
• UNION LEADERS
• CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION
THE APPLEA IS BASED ON PERSONAL REASONS
 MAKE CERTAIN YOU:
• SURVEY YOUR LANDSCAPE.
• ASSESS YOUR STRENGTHS.
• CELEBRATE YOUR PROGRESS ALL OF THE POSITIVE
THINGS YOU ARE CURRENTLY DOING IN YOUR
SCHOOL.
The habit patterns of the work group are
ignored
 All groups are invoved:
 Set clear,realistic and measureable goals and
determine what resources are available for you to
make the internal changes necessary in your school to
reach these goals.
There is poor communications regarding a
change
 Principals must adapt and encourage an attitude of
increased expections.
 Determine which faculties simply need to be nurtured
to success.
 Which are able to follow and implement and model.
 Which are in such a state of readiness that no
effective change can take place.
There is fear of failure
• we miss the chance to emrace change and
thereby open opportunities for success where
we have previously met with failure.
Excessive work pressure is involved
• Professional development must be extensive,on going
and focused on personal results.
• Use data to create passion in the stakeholders.
The present situation seems satisfactory
• We do not see the need for change.
• We engage in the old fight or flight phenomena.
• We disengage from the pocess or undermine it.
There is a lack of respect and trust in the
change initiator
• The leader of the change process is responsible for
creating a climate for successful change.
• Leadership will be the defining factor in successful
cahnge.
