Isco Samplers. Work varied from a basic sale to running trials against other instruments,
working with Water Authorities to gain access to Frameworks or approved suppliers lists. I was
speaking to consultants to get instrumentation specified or Contractors who were appointed by
the water authority. I was also involved in trials for a number of instruments for Yorkshire Water
via their approved contractor ARUP where I got the agreement of Yorkshire Water to hire the
required equipment for the duration of their trials on the Pilot Plant.

Framework agreement in place for the duration of AMP3. I was in constant contact with the 3
main contractors for UU ie HMB Alliance, Galliford-Costain JV and KMI Water. I also dealt with

from that information. When a contract was won I then became the Contract Manager for that
particular order, liasing with everyone involved.

Service Centre Manager. My duties included quotations for new pump units from the ‘Scanpump’

In April 1996 I was promoted to Repair Controller where again I was directly responsible to the
Service Centre Manager. My duties included the quotation for the repair of J. & S. units which
were situated both locally and worldwide. In order to co-ordinate the work efficiently I was in
charge of the workshop at the North East Service Centre and I also was involved in the
purchasing of the necessary materials so that the repair could be carried out in the allocated
time. I had to liaise with both the purchasing and the inventory departments so that the job
would function correctly. I had monthly targets to achieve which were set by the management
team. I used the BPCS system daily from inputting the quotation to invoicing the final job and
in-order to carry that out effectively I had to use both Bill of Material (BOM) and Manufacturing
Requirement Planning (MRP).

Coryton where I was responsible for all technical aspects of the contract.

I was employed as an Internal Sales Support Engineer and was directly responsible to the Service Centre Manager. My duties included quotations for new pump units from the ‘Scanpump’ range of centrifugal pumps mostly for the chemical industry. I communicated with the customer both on the telephone and via site visits. In April 1996 I was promoted to Repair Controller where again I was directly responsible to the Service Centre Manager. My duties included the quotation for the repair of J. & S. units which were situated both locally and worldwide. In order to co-ordinate the work efficiently I was in charge of the workshop at the North East Service Centre and I also was involved in the purchasing of the necessary materials so that the repair could be carried out in the allocated time. I had to liaise with both the purchasing and the inventory departments so that the job would function correctly. I had monthly targets to achieve which were set by the management team. I used the BPCS system daily from inputting the quotation to invoicing the final job and in-order to carry that out effectively I had to use both Bill of Material (BOM) and Manufacturing Requirement Planning (MRP).
