The ISCTE-IUL ACM Student Chapter is a student group at ISCTE-IUL university in Lisbon, Portugal that promotes activities in computer science, software engineering, and information systems. The chapter hosts various events including SmartTalks with industry professionals, SmartClasses which are open master's lessons, and SmartEvents with multiple guest speakers. Upcoming events include introductions to Git, JavaScript, and a SmartTalk on open source software in the restaurant industry.

• ISCTE-IUL ACM Student Chapter is a group of
undergraduate and graduated students that
promotes activities.
• The activities cover various fields: computer science,
software engineering, and information systems.
• All the events take place in the university campus at
ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon, Portugal.

• SmartTalks (Meeting with practitioners)
• SmartClasses (Open Master Lessons)
• SmartEvents (Event with several
practitioners)

4. Smart Talks
• SmartTalks are meetings with
practitioners:
• Computer engineers;
• computer scientists;
• web developers;
• & data scientists.
• About new trends and technologies related
to information technologies.

5. Smart Classes
• SmartClasses are master or PhD classes
open to the community;
• Specially focused in research related to
information technologies:
– IOT;
– Cloud Computing;
– Robotics.

6. Smart Events
• SmartEvents are events where several
invited speakers participate in an event
more formal than the SmartTalk.
• Some of the SmartEvents corresponds to
commemorative days.

purpose of supporting students in introduction to
