Oakland Public Library - Oakland,
California, USA
This library empowers all people to explore, connect, and grow. They have a
Second Start Adult Literacy Program, Tool Lending Library, multiple seed lending
libraries, Junior Carpenters Club, bike libraries, and an Oakland Youth Poet
Laureate, 3-D printers, and more. The library uses events, programs, outreach,
social media, workshops, and their website to grow publics interest in such topics.

activities for students, researchers, older citizens, and the
public. The have multilingual science books, peer reviewed
journals publications, science databases, and research papers.
They are using events and workshops, intellectual property

and podcasts to promote STEM.
