This children's department serves children up to 15 years old, parents,
teachers, and students. The collection contains science books,
documentaries, educational games for PC, board games, and micro:bit.
The promotion of STEM takes place through lectures, book promotions,
meet-the-author events, escape room, board-game sessions, photography
competition, and more.
Oakland Public Library - Oakland,
California, USA
This library empowers all people to explore, connect, and grow. They have a
Second Start Adult Literacy Program, Tool Lending Library, multiple seed lending
libraries, Junior Carpenters Club, bike libraries, and an Oakland Youth Poet
Laureate, 3-D printers, and more. The library uses events, programs, outreach,
social media, workshops, and their website to grow publics interest in such topics.
Kenya National Library Service - Nairobi, Kenya
This world class resource center provides information resources
and service to services to support learning and research
activities for students, researchers, older citizens, and the
public. The have multilingual science books, peer reviewed
journals publications, science databases, and research papers.
They are using events and workshops, intellectual property
organizations (WIPO, KIPI) partnerships, book promotions, blogs,
and podcasts to promote STEM.
