3. WHAT IS DWELL PERIOD?
The tappet should be so made that headls will remain stationary
while the shuttle passes through the shed. This stationary period
is known as dwell of healds or dwell period or pause of shed.
Three types of shed timing (Normal, early and late) are generally used.
4. TIMING OF SHEDDING
There are three types of timing
1. Normal Shedding
2. Early Shedding
3. Late Shedding
The shedding mechanism is set according to picking and
beat-up mechanism. Timing of shedding is set with
respect to the crank position.
5. Normal Shedding:
If the heald shafts are at the same level when the crank comes to the top center, that
is 0 degree or 360 degree, then it is known as normal shedding.
6. Early Shedding:
A shed is said or called to be early when the pick insertion is effected after the shed is
completely open. If the heald shafts are at the same level, when the crank comes to
355 degree to 5 degree before the top center then it is known as early shedding
Late Shedding:
If the heald shaft are at same level when the crank comes to 5 degree after top center,
then the shedding is known as late shedding…..
