2. Pose 1
This pose was featured
within an issue of Marie
Claire which features Rap
legend Nicki Minaj. This
pose looks effective in the
way that she looks
feminine with her hand on
her hip and her other
above her head. However
she still contains that
powerful and fierce look
through her facial
expression of her slight
smile and easy eyes make
her look like a seductress
figure. I will definitely take
on this effect in my work
as it portrays everything I
want to show. I believe a
pose like this would suit
and be great for a front
cover.
3. Pose 2
This side profile pose makes
the picture look beautifully
natural and feminine. It is
quite a ‘cute’ pose, in
contrast to Pose 1 that looks
quite strong. However this
one displays a softer touch
and effect. I could also use
this in my magazine,
however if I wanted it to
look fierce I could simply
change the expression. This
pose would look effective
within a contents page to
draw attention to written
content and to look effective
and high quality to the
reader.
4. Pose 3
I quite like the idea of the
pose of leaning on a wall
and looking at the camera
sideways. I believe that this
pose will look effective
within the composition of
the layout on the spread,
as it will mirror the written
content in a way. When
positioned correctly, this
look can still look feminine,
and definitely takes on a
dramatic look, which is
what I’m aiming for in my
work.
