Ethnic Hungarian political party; led by Sándor Páll
until he died in 2011.
Its headquarters are in Bečej.
Part of Hungarian coalition, which also comprises
two other ethnic Hungarian political parties in
Serbia.
Hungarian coalition won four seats in Serbian
parliament in 2008 parliamentary election; 7% of
votes in first election round in 2008 Vojvodina
parliamentary election; won majority of votes in
Kanjiža (50.91%), along with plurality of votes in
Senta (31.87%), Bačka Topola (46.25%), Mali Iđoš
(37.18%), and Bečej (29.63%) in 2008 local
elections.

leader is András Ágoston.
Conservative party and is part of Hungarian
coalition.

5. Democratic Alliance of Croats in
Vojvodina
Political party of ethnic Croats in Serbian province of
Vojvodina.
Founded 15 July 1990.
Only parliament-represented Croat minority party in Serbia.
Its current leader is Petar Kuntić.
Throughout time, some party members were unhappy with its
policy; they split and created new Croat parties
◦ Croatian National Alliance (Hrvatski narodni savez) - founded 1998
(has been remerged into DSHV since 2003).
◦ Croatian Bunjevac-Šokac Party (Hrvatska bunjevačko-šokačka
stranka) – founded 2004.
◦ Democratic Union of Croats (Demokratska zajednica Hrvata) –
founded 2007.
Engaged in negotiations with another ethnic Croat party from
Syrmia region in Vojvodina, Croatian Syrmian Initiative, in
2009 (Hrvatska sremska inicijativa).
It was arranged that and DSHV and HIS would merge on
June 5, 2009, at the meeting in Sremska Mitrovica.
6. Democratic Union of Croats
Political party of ethnic Croats in autonomous province of Vojvodina.
Founded July 25, 2007.
Its headquarters are at Age Mamužića 5, in Subotica.
In terms of chronology, it was fourth party of Croat minority of Serbia
and third that rose from disappointing fractions of Democratic
Alliance of Croats in Vojvodina.
Its leader is Đorđe Čović (since November 9, 2007).
Concluded agreement with Hungarian Coalition, during which it
endorsed the latter in 2008 Serbian parliamentary election.
Petitioned members to back Boris Todić in second electoral round of
2008 presidential election.
Joined list Together for Vojvodina (Заједно за Војводину, Zajedno za
Vojvodinu) - Nenad Čanak, under leadership of League of Social
Democrats of Vojvodina (Лига социјалдемократа Војводине /Liga
socijaldemokrata Vojvodine, LSV / ЛСВ), in 2008 Vojvodina
parliamentary election.
