Nordea Treasury, Vice President and Head of Business & IT Infrastructure Development*, 2003- current
My unit is responsible for business and IT-infrastructure development within Nordea Treasury.
The work is project based using an agile approach and includes an overall responsibility throughout a project
life cycle. Some project examples:
STARS – Application owner and heavily involved in the architecture, design and development of the
data warehouse supporting all main business processes in Treasury.
Designed spread calculation engine capturing Nordea’s issuance spread, Hedge Accounting integration
with Reval as well reporting initiatives such as GSIB, EMIR, MIFID, FINREP etc.
Liquidity Premia – designed the prepayment model and several other key parts of the LP model.
Development and implementation of the Nordic covered bond platform and in particular the APM,
Asset Pool Manager.
The Funding Gap a Liquidity Risk system used to consolidate, analyze and manage the short term
liquidity and survival horizon within the Nordea Group according to ALCO limits.
The Treasury Risk Calculator which is used to consolidate, analyze and manage the Interest Rate, FX
and Equity risk of Nordea Treasury globally according to ALCO limits.
The Treasury Matching Engine used to match internal and external Treasury deals, as well as to
reconcile General Ledger balances, cash transactions and CTC. The matching system is also used for
derivatives matching as part of the Hedge Accounting process.
My team has been deeply involved in the implementation of a number of business critical solutions globally in
Nordea Treasury. The result has significantly reduced the funding cost of Nordea as well as improved the
quality and efficiency of several core processes.

eValue, Founder and Managing Director, 2001-2003
The company was founded by 8 partners targeting risk management systems for Internet Banks and Brokers. In
addition to the founders, a VC Company, Venture Partners, and a market data supplier, Datastream, were
partners to the company. When Primark (the holding company of Datastream) was acquired by Thomson
Financial the initiative became impossible to follow through. eValue turned to risk management consulting and
was later sold to Keyhow Europe.
SEB Merchant Banking, IT Controller, 1998-2000
Responsible for systems and business development covering SEB MB’s global trading, market and risk analysis.
The position included selection of systems and market data deliveries from suppliers such as Reuters,
Bloomberg, price information from exchanges, news feeds and analytical services. Many of the contracts were
SEB global and required a lot of cost benefit analysis and coordination between different departments, as well
as vendor contacts, evaluation, contract negotiation, budgeting and cost follow up. The annual budget was
approximately 50 MSEK.
As a project manager I was also responsible for the following projects:
Development and implementation of SEB’s VaR model (Value at Risk) as well as responsible for part of
the approval process of the model by Finansinspektionen (the Swedish FSA).
2. Development and implementation of a Collateral Management system used for stock lending.
Delivering real time price data to Trading Station, a web based Trading system aimed at SEB’s
institutional customers.
