I worked at Texas Roadhouse my senior year in high school, and because there were a lot of girls scheduled to work one shift I was not scheduled
to work a lot of hours. When I first began working there I was working about thirteen to eighteen hours per week, including weekends. At first it was
easy to do so I thought that I could talk with the manager and ask to be scheduled for more hours. After of few weeks of working there I began to

The school I chose and was assigned to observe at was Knob Noster Elementary School. I chose to observe at Knob Noster because I attended the
school district from elementary to high school; Knob Noster is my hometown. I thought it would be a humbling experience to observe students at the

that my kindergarten teacher still worked there in the same exact classroom; I was overwhelmed with nostalgia. In the distance I could hear the chatter

When I arrived in Ms. Gerke's classroom, she was sitting on the floor in a circle with her first graders doing a group activity. As you walk into the
classroom, the teacher's desk is on the right. Behind her desk is a seating area with a rug in front of the smart board, along with a computer next to it.
Along the far–right side of her classroom is a line of cabinets with decorations, books, turn–in boxes and more on it. The classroom walls were full of

Many students can admit that they have fallen asleep at least once during a class. It is not the student's fault as to why they fall asleep in class, it is the
early school start times that causes students to fall asleep on their desks during class. Recent studies have shown that more than half of students get less
than eight hours of sleep which is the recommended amount of sleep. School start times contribute to sleep deprivation, car crashes, and lower test
results and overall grades.
Studies have shown that many students blame their sleep deprivation on the early school start times, they are not wrong. Students are supposed to
receive at least 8 hours of sleep each night; however, most teens only average around seven or less hours of sleep as seen in the graph below from

control and supervision; he is, to a very large extent, the master of his own destiny. It lies with him to make it or mar it.
At school the students has to be in attendance for fixed hours every day. He has to leave home at ten or eleven and return at four at college, however, the
hours of attendance very. Sometimes, a college student has hardly time in the morning to gulp his food; at others, he has enough time to lounge about
for a few minutes after a leisurely meal. On some days he returns early from college; or others, it is late evening by the time he gets back home. He
has ample time at his disposal to use, abuse, or misuse.
At school the student has to prepare his daily lessons and may be taken to task for what he has left undone. But at college he can do his lessons daily,

At school, students acquire habits of discipline and regularity. They have to practice obedience and follow instruction. But at college students are
expected to develop a sense of responsibility and personal initiative. In other words, what a school student has to do under com–pulsing is done by the
college students out of his greater sense of responsibility. Of course it has to be admitted that college life offers greater scope to a student to go astray.
It he takes himself light–heartedly, he will have to suffer. It he allows arrears of studies to accumulate he will pay the price with failure and disgrace.
Hence a studious pupil improves more rapidly at college than at school; but a waster comes quicker to
