Meditation Essay
Meditation is an age–old practice that has renewed itself in many different cultures and times. Despite its age, however, there remains a mystery and
some ambiguity as to what it is, or even how one performs it. The practice and tradition of meditation dates back thousands of years having appeared in
many eastern traditions. Meditation's ancient roots cloud its origins from being attributed to a sole inventor or religion, though Bon, Hindu, Shinto,
Dao, and later, Buddhism are responsible for its development. Its practice has permeated almost all major world religions, but under different names. It
has become a practice without borders, influencing millions with its tranquil and healing effects.
Western medicine has recently...show more content...
Regardless of a new capitalism, which has erupted around meditation, the practice has provided a mental oasis to millions of people strained and made
anxious by the stresses of modern life.
Meditation is the practice of "bringing the mind home . . . meant to awaken in us the sky–like nature of the mind, and to introduce us to that which we
really are, our unchanging pure awareness, which underlies the whole of life and death." (Rinpoche, 2002). Its goal is to relieve the suffering of the
mind and lead its practitioners to the enlightenment found by Siddhartha Guatama or the Buddha while he sat beneath the Bodi tree. The mind's home
in meditation is a clear, lucid, unaltered state in which the fragmented frames of thought that usually circulates in the untrained mind are set aside and
forced out. A mind free of worry and apprehension is at peace and free of suffering. A number of physical and mental exercises are used to bring the
mind to this lucid state of natural existence. The four objects of consideration and awareness when meditating are the body, feelings, state of the mind,
and the mind's contents.
Body positioning during meditation has practical and traditional roots. The posture assumed during meditation resembles the crossed leg position of
the Buddha. Although there are many variations of posture and hand placement, they all attempt to create and emphasize the connection

Life Is Not Easy For Any Of Us
"Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are
gifted for something and that this thing must be attained" said Marie Curie, who was one of the brightest minds of her time. Her words of wisdom
continue to have a profound effect on my life and no doubt inspire many others around the world to persevere. Working on computers from years, I
believe that I have been gifted Computer Science and I choose it not just as my career path but also as a lifelong passion. Now it's the right time for
me to use the knowledge acquired from experience to pursue Global Master's degree in Computer Science. This will be a major step towards my
aspiration of making significant contributions to active research as well as the industry in the field of Software Development.
Since my childhood days, I had a strong penchant to be an Engineer. I was amazed by the working of computers s when I used it for the first time
during my school days. My journey in the field of computing started with 'C ' programming and going forward I chose Computer Science in my
pre–university as my major subject. High academic results in the pre–university helped me secure an admission in the well–known BNM Institute of
Technology, one of highly sought after institutes affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University with Information Science as my specialization. I
would not hesitate to say that I have spent the best years

How to Apply Makeup Essay
Putting Your Face On Have you ever woke up and thought that you needed a better looking face? Many women are very judgmental when it comes
to the way they look compared to other women's appearances. If you ever want to "put your face on" to look smokin' hot or just to raise your
self–confidence, follow these steps and you'll be bringing the fellas' home, or some of you guys may also be bringing the fellas home as well. Before
you even touch that sponge to your face, make sure your face is rid of that yucky morning eye matter; better known as "eye boogers." If you apply
make–up with to gunk, you might as well join the freakin' circus or stand on that corner with your thumb sticking up, looking for a good time. If there

This next step is a bit tricky and may vary by the user. Blush is an essential item to most old women who wear it too heavily and incorrectly. When
applying the blush, you must suck in your cheeks to imitate a fish and take the blush brush and lightly apply it to the now–visible cheekbones. If you
choose to wear a more odd color like purple or a heavy red, do not apply to much to look like Be Be off the Drew Carrey Show. The eye shadow is the
next application to the face. Matching the colors of the eye shadow to the outfit is not as important as the application itself. Lets' say you have a red
party dress on, then you would not wear the same shade as someone who is wearing a lime green t–shirt. Choose your colors wisely, and know that
someone will recognize a mismatch if one occurs. Always choose a pattern to your colors; for example: you can put a white directly under the arch of
your eyebrow to give some emphasis, then put a light semi–arch under the white to outline the top of your eye for some definition, and then put a
light–colored shade under then that would be extremely acceptable. Eyeliner is an optional choice that you may choose to take. If you so choose to
apply it, make sure it is applied after the eye shadow so the color can't fade or look lighter.
The next application step is the mascara; please remember that length is everything. The proper way to apply mascara is to hold the brush and

Sharks Essay
Sharks
Sharks are one of the most feared carnivores in the sea. There are 365 species of of sharks in the sea as we know today. All sharks are carnivores.
Most of them eat live fish, including other sharks. A shark's most common natural enemy is an another shark. Most sharks eat their prey whole, or
they tear off large chunks of the bodies. Some sharks crush their prey. Others take out small pieces off flesh from large fish. Sharks also feed on dead

Their bodies are also shaped somewhat like a torpedo to give them a more streamlined affect in the in water. Yet, some types of sharks, the ocean
dwellers have a flat body similar to that of skates and rays. Sharks can travel with great bursts of speed especially when attacking their prey or when
excited. The fastest–swimming sharks have a moon–shaped tail that provides extra power and durability for swimming. Sharks don't have a swim
bladder. This is what helps regulate depth control. Sharks do not have this organ. Yet, they do have a oil organ that also acts as a gas bladder. This oil
is less dense than water and acts as a gas bladder.
A shark has multiple rows of teeth. The mouth of sharks is in the front of the head. In some species, sharks teeth are replaced as much as once a
week. Some sharks have teeth used to crush and grind. These are some what like what humans have. They also have sharp teeth. These can be
compared to incisors that humans have. These types of teeth are very important to sharks because they are carnivores and depend on their teeth in
order to eat their prey. A sharks body in covered by scales which cover their bodies. These scales make the skin of a shark very rough and strong.
Sharks have a very different breathing system than most animals that live in or on this earth. Sharks also receive oxygen from the water through gills,

Essay on Government
Government
Government! You can't live with it! You can't live without it! It is the "common cold" that everyone dreads. The American Heritage College Dictionary,
Third Edition defines government as, "The exercise of authority in a political unit in order to control and administer public policy." Webster's Desk
Dictionary of the English Language defines government as, "The political direction and control exercised over a nation, state, community, etc." The
common individual might define government as the root of all evil. The thing about government is that no one stops to think about how government
came about.
Government falls into two categories; monarchy or a republic. A monarchy is a form of government that is always headed by a...show more content...
King Fahad has complete control over it's citizens in all aspects pertaining to their country. Laws, punishments, and regulations are in the hands of King
Fahad.
If the government of a country does not fall into any of these categories, it is a republic. A republic is defined in Webster's Desk Dictionary of the
English Language as any government in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives
chosen directly or indirectly by them. There are three types of republics; dictatorship, oligarchy, or democracy.
A dictatorship is a republic ruled by one individual. Cuba has a dictatorship. Fidel Castro is the main contributor to Cuban society. He oversees his
people yet allows his people the right to vote him in or out of office.
An oligarchy is another type of republic. This type is ruled by a select few. An example of an oligarchic society would be France. King Louis XV is
king but he has a complete parliament to assist him in the law making procedure of France.
The third type of republic is a democracy. A democracy is defined as a society ruled by the majority. An example of a democratic republic would be
the United States.
There are four theories that coincide with government; divine, natural, social compact, and force.
The divine theory was developed out of religion. The theory states that government ordained itself from God, and its main purpose is

deviance. However, she isn 't the only character to do so. Olive first lies about losing her virginity to her best friend, but the first real deviant act
comes when she and her gay friend Brandon deceive the whole school. Olive quickly gains popularity when most of the student body witnesses,
from the other side of the door, her having sex at a party with a boy from school. Little does everyone know that it is all a ruse to get them to think
that Brandon, her fake sex partner, is not gay in hopes that this very public display of sexual activity will prevent daily beatings at school and it

deviance often leads to marginalisation, and gender deviance is a prime example. Brandon was beat up at school and rejected by friends. Gay
individuals have long been marginalised by not receiving equal rights by law, and are habitually marginalised by the general public due to
homosexuality being considered gender deviance. Taywaditep 's (2001) study suggested that due to the marginalisation gay boys received throughout
their childhood and adolescence, many began to appear more gender–conforming towards adulthood to avoid marginalisation. Gender conformity is

Financial Difficulties
Finance is a huge part of our life that everybody hope to be in good financial state. However, today, more than ever before, people are struggling with
financial problems. According to a research conducted by AC Nielsen and ANZ in 2005, people often display six ways of thinking considered
"unhealthy" that putting people under financial pressure including 'living for today', 'financial disengagement', 'aspirational', 'emotional enhancement',
'ownership of credit', and 'credit as supplementary income".
Firstly, the prominent idea is "living for today". It means that people just think and spend for their present lives, and do not pay much attention for their
future. This way of thinking has a close connection with the " youthfulness" or the...show more content...
There are some who have a good job with middle–high salary, they don't think they need to worry as they can afford to pay their debts soon. They never
thought of being in emergency such as they might lose their job or in case they get divorced. I myself experienced a hard time at my first year at my
university living far away from my family. Lacking financial management skill, I just spent and bought everything I like without thinking about,
managing, and tracking my expenses. As a result, I went out of money soon and cannot afford to necessary things after that.
3. 'aspirational': – spending to "keep up with the Johnes' meaning a person is easily want to have the things that others have. He/she is likely to be
influenced by others or environment.
For eg: A Single Mother, Sally, lived in Rural for a long time, after that she move to the town near her daughter's school. She start to wanting and
needing more material things to fulfill her large house. Then she gradually buy more items.
Consequences: they might buy the things that they do not really need.
The 'aspirational' way of thinking is where people had a particular aspiration that strongly influenced their expenditure. The unhealthy spectrum of this
way of thinking was where this dominated, to an extent that it translated into over–spending and/or over–commitment. Common colloquialisms that
people used to describe this way of thinking included 'keeping up

Hard Work– Key to Success
Success never comes with an easy way. It is something that we all want to achieve. Every body has their own believe that they follow most in their
lives to achieve more. I believe only way to succeed in life is to work hard. There are many things I want to achieve in my life and through my life
journey I realized that hard work is the only way to achieve it. We need a lots of efforts and dedication to get it. There were many incident happened in
my life when only through hard work only, I solve all that problems whether it was related to my education or related to any other my interest. There
are many things in life, which is necessary, but there is no alternate to hard work.
My grandfather who is inspiration for me always said that if you work hard, good things will happen in your life and I always believe in him. In
my school days I believed that working hard means study a lot and getting a good grades. But as time went, I also realized that life is not all about
getting good grades. There are more than my imaginations in the world. To be at a top position I need to get skilled and for that I need to work hard.
When I was in school, once there was an interstate quiz competition in my city. I was selected from my school and was confident about win. But when I
met other students I realized that there were many and thousands of other students who are more intelligent than me. Unfortunately our school
disqualified in the first round and I was too

Success Is Not Always Come Easy
Main Intro: It does not matter what your age is, where you come from, or where you are living right now. We all share something in common; the
desire to be successful. The dictionary definition of success is "the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment
of one's goals" (Dictionary.com). Some people define success as being happy, loving, faithful, wealthy, famous, and powerful. Even though success
can be achieved by anyone, it does not always come easy. First, to become successful you have to be able to accept failure, and move on. Them you
have put in the hard work to achieve greatness, not take the easy path. Finally having the courage to sacrifice things you love, will bring you one step
closer to...show more content...
To succeed, you have to be able to endure and overcome the challenges life throws at you, because, in the end, all of that hard work and suffering will
pay off.
Work 2: If individuals do not work hard to succeed, then success cannot be achieved. If we put hours or years into hard work, it will impress others,
and show us that we can reach our goals. Michael Phelps, known as one of the greatest Olympic athletes of all time is the definition of hard work.
He started swimming at the age of seven, and now every time he swims in a competitive race, he sets new world records that cannot be achieved by
any old swimmer. Phelps trained almost every day of the year, and this did not only include swimming. Michael Phelps is a good representation of
how hard work leads to success because he is now not only known as one of the greatest swimmers but the greatest Olympic athlete of all time.
Work 3: Academic success is what every student wants, but is something not all students are prepared to work for. Most students believe that the
successful people do not put any work into their academics. They think that the successful students are only gifted, and everything comes easy for them.
That ideology is false because the most successful students put the most work in. It does not matter how intelligent one is, it matters how much effort
you put into achieving your academic goals. Intelligent people are not born with everything stored inside their head. They receive

Easyjet's critical success factor is built around its leading market position in European convenient airports, low fares, and exceptional customer
orientated services. However, the successful growth of EasyJet has brought it into direct competition with Legacy Carriers and similar Low Cost
Airlines.
This Report has been divided into three sections, the first section analyses the business model using the four–box framework: Customer Value
Proposition, Profit Formula, Key resources and Key processes. Easyjet's customer value proposition is based on providing low fares with customer
orientated services using key resources and processes such as standardized fleets and online booking systems to maintain its cost structure which is a
crucial component of its profit formula. Together with this, to maximise revenue, a number of methods such as sophisticated yield management
techniques are in place.
The second section analyses the dependencies and constraints of the business model. Easyjet's business continuity to an extent depends on IT systems,
Processes at the London Luton Airport and
Markets where customers value low price and quality at the same time. Macroeconomic activities outside its control such as industry consolidation,
weakened consumer confidence, inflationary pressure, competition, regulatory intervention, airport charges, and the rising cost of fuel are the
constraints that disrupt the viability of their business model.

Being a teacher is not easy as a lot of children and teens think. There are responsibilities that correspond with not only becoming a teacher, but also
maintaining the job as a teacher. One responsibility for being a teacher includes preparing long–term lessons and grading papers for students. When
you are a teacher, you can not teach a class without having your plans organized. Also, when the students are assessed, there will need to be someone
who will need to critique what the students ВЁglowВЁ in and what the students will need to ВЁgrowВЁ in. Teachers also will need to remain at school
sometimes before school doors open to students, during school hours, and after school hours. There will be times where a teacher will need to set up
his/her room a specific way before students come back into the classroom or will need to think about some lessons, and before, during, and after school
are the perfect times for a teacher to process his/her thoughts. Finally, teachers will need to build communication skills when speaking and
communicating with students, other teachers, and parents. When speaking with parents, there will always be that one parent who does not care who
they are talking to and that's the time you will need to have self–control when responding so you do not risk your job and sometimes risk your criminal
record. After all, your main responsibilities are to prepare daily and long–term plans, remain at school most of the day, and develop and build
communication skills.

What it Means to be an American Essay
What it Means to be an American What does it mean to be an American? In my eyes to be an American means to have privileges, rights, and freedom.
America isn't perfect, but it is one of the only countries that have rights given to people of different diversities and gender. America does not have
tremendous poverty. Instead we have choices given to us by the people who fought and died for the American people. Without George Washington and

The people in America are given something that not everybody's given. A chance to be successful and to survive, and most countries are not given
that chance. Being in America offers a lot to the people. One of the most important right America offers to America is the chance to be ourselves
and to live in a place were small wars are not going on between states or communities. The U.S. gives us a chance to be fed. The people in America
are not surrounded by a majority of starving people. Instead we have one of the most powerful economy in the world. America offers so much to
the people who live in the U.S., but America will always be full of criticism, violence, and people who are offended by everything. America still
seems to manage to be one of the world's best nations. The first Americans planned America to be as successful as it is, but for America to be more
peaceful. America is not one of the most peaceful places, but it is not the most dangerous place to live. Even political parties lie and cheat each other.
A lot of the Americans are greedy, because they take advantages of what America offers to their citizens. Even though America is not perfect I am still
glad to live in the U.S.

Essay about Germany
Germany is the fourth largest country in area in
Europe, with a total area of 356,970 square

a varied terrain that ranges from low–lying coastal
flats along the North and Baltic seas, to a central
area of rolling hills and river valleys, to heavily
forested mountains and snow–covered Alps in the

culture, but it did not become a unified nation until
1871. Before that time, Germany had been a

The country has a total of 82,071,765 people (1997

Stretching from the Baltic and North seas to the Alps,
Germany measures about 800 kilometers (about 500
miles) from north to south; the country extends about

addition to coastline and mountains, the varied
terrain includes forests, hills, plains, and river valleys.
Several navigable rivers traverse the uplands, and
canals connect the river systems of the Elbe, Rhine,

Germany has a mostly moderate climate,
characterized by cool winters and warm summers.
River valleys, such the Rhine, tend to be humid and

Precipitation on the average is much heavier in the
south, especially along the Alpine slopes, which force
incoming weather fronts to rise and let off moisture in

Germany does not have large pockets of poverty or
great economic disparity. Crime levels are
substantially lower than those in the United States,

Writing Is Easy By Steve Martin Summary
The essay "Writing is Easy", by Steve Martin, is a hysterical essay that is comical in a way that I don't think the author intended. I think the essay is
funny mainly because there is a part that is ironic for me that I can relate to. Although there is other parts in the essay that could be humorous as well,
I couldn't get over one certain section of it. The funniest segment of the story is, "Go to an already published novel and find a sentence that you
absolutely adore. Copy it down in your manuscript. Usually, that sentence will lead you to another sentence, and pretty soon your own ideas will start
to flow. If they don't, copy down the next sentence in the novel. You can safely use up to three sentences of someone else's work– unless you're

A Very Easy Death : Perspective
A Very Easy Death: Perspective
In this interpretation of Simone de Beauvoir 's mother 's horrible decent to death, Beauvoir finds out her Maman is taken to the hospital for a broken
bone after a fall, instead the fact that her mother has intestinal cancer is revealed. After many surgeries, her mother's suffering is only drawn out. The
author ponders on the virtue of doing so, in conflict with condescending doctors while empathizing with overburdened nurses. Simone de Beauvoir
gives us a reflective and somewhat detached depiction of the final days in the life of her declining mother. Interwoven throughout the novel is the
escalating succession of the authors mother dying of cancer, there are also recollections of the relationships of younger years among herself, sister, and
parents.
Sprinkled throughout the account of Beauvoir`s experience, it is easy to see the many difficulties that occur within the relationships of doctors, health
care staff, family and friends. This repertoire offers a profoundly private account of the, anguish, remorse, and frustration that is often associated with
the journey of a loved one to his or her demise. The account is simplistic and to the point; with the frank and truthful visualization and rumination one
would experience under similar circumstances. There is a moral dilemma initiated at the beginning of Beauvoir's hospital experience with her mother,
which not only includes deception on the part of her and her sister, but dishonesty

Essay On Bauhaus
The Bauhaus was an art school formed in 1919 by architect Walter Gropius in Germany. Bauhaus art movement took place between the two world wars.
Bauhaus literal meaning is 'house of construction'. Before Bauhaus craft and design were taught separately in the European art schools but in Bauhaus
combined craft, design and technology to build products. It was a revolutionary movement because before Bauhaus products were made in a small scale
and by the used of hands, but Bauhaus was all about mass production, catering to a large number of people and making furniture which are highly
functional.
Bauhaus followed a simple philosophy of 'form follows function'. The products made used less material than before and were very light and easily

They all had the same vision and similar design thinking.
Why I chose this topic ?
Me being a product designer was always fascinated with Bauhaus and their design theory. I like simple yet functional products as simplicity is very
hard to achieve. The honest use of materials is very important for me and Bauhaus is all about that. Mass production caters to a variety of people and
through better and manufacturing techniques we can improve the standard of living of every individual and move the human race forward. Designing
for a mass is a very difficult task as we need to think about all likes and dislikes of the consumer and then design accordingly.
Methodology of research:
I read many articles about Bauhaus on the internet and read a few books from the college library. I saw many products and textile work, but what
caught my attention were the simplicity of the products and the honest use of materials. So, I decided to go ahead with the whole range of products
produced in the Bauhaus movement during 1919–1933 and document the variety of materials and colours used in that

Living With Less By Graham Hill
I always knew people liked to consume more than what they need, but never really considered how it affects our environment. Until I read an
article by Graham Hill called "Living with Less. A lot Less." In this article, Hill argues that individuals obtain products one doesn't need. Secondly,
he mentions how purchasing these products won't make you happy, but can do the exact opposite. Lastly, Hill argues how living with less
merchandise can make us feel and live happier. As a result, I compared my life to his and realized he's right having less might give us the
opportunity to explore further. I agree with Hill's argument that one tends to buy more than what they use. I, for instance, am one of those
individuals. Hill mentions this by saying "Members of every socioeconomic bracket can and do deluge themselves with products" (Hill 1). For
instance, I remember when I received my first payment from babysitting. I was thrilled with the idea of finally being able to rely on myself to buy
all the things I wanted. So, I headed towards the mall and went on a shopping spree. As a result, I arrived home with bags of merchandise as I
unloaded them I became aware I had bought a lot of things I didn't need. As the days passed I became conscious of how I didn't use much of what I
had bought but bought them because I liked the idea of being able to buy whatever I wanted without having anyone tell me what I couldn't buy. Not
only does Hills argument make sense but also makes an important

Meditation Essay

  • 1. Meditation Essay Meditation is an age–old practice that has renewed itself in many different cultures and times. Despite its age, however, there remains a mystery and some ambiguity as to what it is, or even how one performs it. The practice and tradition of meditation dates back thousands of years having appeared in many eastern traditions. Meditation's ancient roots cloud its origins from being attributed to a sole inventor or religion, though Bon, Hindu, Shinto, Dao, and later, Buddhism are responsible for its development. Its practice has permeated almost all major world religions, but under different names. It has become a practice without borders, influencing millions with its tranquil and healing effects. Western medicine has recently...show more content... Regardless of a new capitalism, which has erupted around meditation, the practice has provided a mental oasis to millions of people strained and made anxious by the stresses of modern life. Meditation is the practice of "bringing the mind home . . . meant to awaken in us the sky–like nature of the mind, and to introduce us to that which we really are, our unchanging pure awareness, which underlies the whole of life and death." (Rinpoche, 2002). Its goal is to relieve the suffering of the mind and lead its practitioners to the enlightenment found by Siddhartha Guatama or the Buddha while he sat beneath the Bodi tree. The mind's home in meditation is a clear, lucid, unaltered state in which the fragmented frames of thought that usually circulates in the untrained mind are set aside and forced out. A mind free of worry and apprehension is at peace and free of suffering. A number of physical and mental exercises are used to bring the mind to this lucid state of natural existence. The four objects of consideration and awareness when meditating are the body, feelings, state of the mind, and the mind's contents. Body positioning during meditation has practical and traditional roots. The posture assumed during meditation resembles the crossed leg position of the Buddha. Although there are many variations of posture and hand placement, they all attempt to create and emphasize the connection Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Life Is Not Easy For Any Of Us "Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained" said Marie Curie, who was one of the brightest minds of her time. Her words of wisdom continue to have a profound effect on my life and no doubt inspire many others around the world to persevere. Working on computers from years, I believe that I have been gifted Computer Science and I choose it not just as my career path but also as a lifelong passion. Now it's the right time for me to use the knowledge acquired from experience to pursue Global Master's degree in Computer Science. This will be a major step towards my aspiration of making significant contributions to active research as well as the industry in the field of Software Development. Since my childhood days, I had a strong penchant to be an Engineer. I was amazed by the working of computers s when I used it for the first time during my school days. My journey in the field of computing started with 'C ' programming and going forward I chose Computer Science in my pre–university as my major subject. High academic results in the pre–university helped me secure an admission in the well–known BNM Institute of Technology, one of highly sought after institutes affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University with Information Science as my specialization. I would not hesitate to say that I have spent the best years Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. How to Apply Makeup Essay Putting Your Face On Have you ever woke up and thought that you needed a better looking face? Many women are very judgmental when it comes to the way they look compared to other women's appearances. If you ever want to "put your face on" to look smokin' hot or just to raise your self–confidence, follow these steps and you'll be bringing the fellas' home, or some of you guys may also be bringing the fellas home as well. Before you even touch that sponge to your face, make sure your face is rid of that yucky morning eye matter; better known as "eye boogers." If you apply make–up with to gunk, you might as well join the freakin' circus or stand on that corner with your thumb sticking up, looking for a good time. If there is one thing...show more content... This next step is a bit tricky and may vary by the user. Blush is an essential item to most old women who wear it too heavily and incorrectly. When applying the blush, you must suck in your cheeks to imitate a fish and take the blush brush and lightly apply it to the now–visible cheekbones. If you choose to wear a more odd color like purple or a heavy red, do not apply to much to look like Be Be off the Drew Carrey Show. The eye shadow is the next application to the face. Matching the colors of the eye shadow to the outfit is not as important as the application itself. Lets' say you have a red party dress on, then you would not wear the same shade as someone who is wearing a lime green t–shirt. Choose your colors wisely, and know that someone will recognize a mismatch if one occurs. Always choose a pattern to your colors; for example: you can put a white directly under the arch of your eyebrow to give some emphasis, then put a light semi–arch under the white to outline the top of your eye for some definition, and then put a light–colored shade under then that would be extremely acceptable. Eyeliner is an optional choice that you may choose to take. If you so choose to apply it, make sure it is applied after the eye shadow so the color can't fade or look lighter. The next application step is the mascara; please remember that length is everything. The proper way to apply mascara is to hold the brush and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Most of them eat live fish, including other sharks. A shark's most common natural enemy is an another shark. Most sharks eat their prey whole, or they tear off large chunks of the bodies. Some sharks crush their prey. Others take out small pieces off flesh from large fish. Sharks also feed on dead or dying animals. Sharks have the reputation of attacking human beings. But less than 100 shark attacks a year are reported throughout the world. Sharks are most common in warm seas and oceans. Whale sharks, are the largest shark known to man. Yet, some types of sharks, the ocean dwellers have a flat body similar to that of skates and rays. Sharks can travel with great bursts of speed especially when attacking their prey or when excited. The fastest–swimming sharks have a moon–shaped tail that provides extra power and durability for swimming. Sharks don't have a swim bladder. This is what helps regulate depth control. Sharks do not have this organ. Yet, they do have a oil organ that also acts as a gas bladder. This oil is less dense than water and acts as a gas bladder. A shark has multiple rows of teeth. The mouth of sharks is in the front of the head. In some species, sharks teeth are replaced as much as once a week. Some sharks have teeth used to crush and grind. These are some what like what humans have. They also have sharp teeth. These can be compared to incisors that humans have. These types of teeth are very important to sharks because they are carnivores and depend on their teeth in order to eat their prey. A sharks body in covered by scales which cover their bodies. These scales make the skin of a shark very rough and strong. Sharks have a very different breathing system than most animals that live in or on this earth. • 5. Essay on Government Government Government! You can't live with it! You can't live without it! It is the "common cold" that everyone dreads. The American Heritage College Dictionary, Third Edition defines government as, "The exercise of authority in a political unit in order to control and administer public policy." Webster's Desk Dictionary of the English Language defines government as, "The political direction and control exercised over a nation, state, community, etc." The common individual might define government as the root of all evil. The thing about government is that no one stops to think about how government came about. Government falls into two categories; monarchy or a republic. Laws, punishments, and regulations are in the hands of King Fahad. If the government of a country does not fall into any of these categories, it is a republic. A republic is defined in Webster's Desk Dictionary of the English Language as any government in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them. There are three types of republics; dictatorship, oligarchy, or democracy. A dictatorship is a republic ruled by one individual. Cuba has a dictatorship. Fidel Castro is the main contributor to Cuban society. He oversees his people yet allows his people the right to vote him in or out of office. An oligarchy is another type of republic. This type is ruled by a select few. An example of an oligarchic society would be France. King Louis XV is king but he has a complete parliament to assist him in the law making procedure of France. The third type of republic is a democracy. A democracy is defined as a society ruled by the majority. An example of a democratic republic would be the United States. There are four theories that coincide with government; divine, natural, social compact, and force.

Explore how deviance and/or crime are presented in this text and relate your findings to the various sociological perspectives and theories studied in class. Choice of text: Easy A (2010 movie) Deviance is an unavoidable part of human nature, and as such, is a fascinating and essential social phenomenon to study. The film Easy A explores how a high school student turns to deviance in order to benefit in popularity and financially. A number of sociological theories are recognisable in this film. It demonstrates clearly the motivations behind how primary deviance leads to secondary deviance. The text raises the theories of...show more content... Although this isn 't her true personality, Olive feels validated – she has an identity. Therefore, social exclusion is a motivating factor for Olive to turn to deviance. However, she isn 't the only character to do so. Olive first lies about losing her virginity to her best friend, but the first real deviant act comes when she and her gay friend Brandon deceive the whole school. Olive quickly gains popularity when most of the student body witnesses, from the other side of the door, her having sex at a party with a boy from school. Little does everyone know that it is all a ruse to get them to think that Brandon, her fake sex partner, is not gay in hopes that this very public display of sexual activity will prevent daily beatings at school and it works! (Perry et al., 2011) Being an openly gay student in high school, Brandon is subjected to torment, discrimination and marginalisation. Consistent deviance often leads to marginalisation, and gender deviance is a prime example. Brandon was beat up at school and rejected by friends. Gay individuals have long been marginalised by not receiving equal rights by law, and are habitually marginalised by the general public due to homosexuality being considered gender deviance. Taywaditep 's (2001) study suggested that due to the marginalisation gay boys received throughout their childhood and adolescence, many began to appear more gender–conforming towards adulthood to avoid marginalisation. However, today, more than ever before, people are struggling with financial problems. According to a research conducted by AC Nielsen and ANZ in 2005, people often display six ways of thinking considered "unhealthy" that putting people under financial pressure including 'living for today', 'financial disengagement', 'aspirational', 'emotional enhancement', 'ownership of credit', and 'credit as supplementary income". Firstly, the prominent idea is "living for today". It means that people just think and spend for their present lives, and do not pay much attention for their future. This way of thinking has a close connection with the " youthfulness" or the...show more content... There are some who have a good job with middle–high salary, they don't think they need to worry as they can afford to pay their debts soon. They never thought of being in emergency such as they might lose their job or in case they get divorced. I myself experienced a hard time at my first year at my university living far away from my family. Lacking financial management skill, I just spent and bought everything I like without thinking about, managing, and tracking my expenses. As a result, I went out of money soon and cannot afford to necessary things after that. 3. 'aspirational': – spending to "keep up with the Johnes' meaning a person is easily want to have the things that others have. He/she is likely to be influenced by others or environment. For eg: A Single Mother, Sally, lived in Rural for a long time, after that she move to the town near her daughter's school. She start to wanting and needing more material things to fulfill her large house. Then she gradually buy more items. Consequences: they might buy the things that they do not really need. The 'aspirational' way of thinking is where people had a particular aspiration that strongly influenced their expenditure. • 9. Hard Work– Key to Success Success never comes with an easy way. It is something that we all want to achieve. Every body has their own believe that they follow most in their lives to achieve more. I believe only way to succeed in life is to work hard. There are many things I want to achieve in my life and through my life journey I realized that hard work is the only way to achieve it. We need a lots of efforts and dedication to get it. There were many incident happened in my life when only through hard work only, I solve all that problems whether it was related to my education or related to any other my interest. There are many things in life, which is necessary, but there is no alternate to hard work. My grandfather who is inspiration for me always said that if you work hard, good things will happen in your life and I always believe in him. In my school days I believed that working hard means study a lot and getting a good grades. But as time went, I also realized that life is not all about getting good grades. There are more than my imaginations in the world. To be at a top position I need to get skilled and for that I need to work hard. When I was in school, once there was an interstate quiz competition in my city. I was selected from my school and was confident about win. But when I met other students I realized that there were many and thousands of other students who are more intelligent than me. Unfortunately our school disqualified in the first round and I was too Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Success Is Not Always Come Easy Main Intro: It does not matter what your age is, where you come from, or where you are living right now. We all share something in common; the desire to be successful. The dictionary definition of success is "the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one's goals" (Dictionary.com). Some people define success as being happy, loving, faithful, wealthy, famous, and powerful. Even though success can be achieved by anyone, it does not always come easy. To succeed, you have to be able to endure and overcome the challenges life throws at you, because, in the end, all of that hard work and suffering will pay off. Work 2: If individuals do not work hard to succeed, then success cannot be achieved. If we put hours or years into hard work, it will impress others, and show us that we can reach our goals. Michael Phelps, known as one of the greatest Olympic athletes of all time is the definition of hard work. He started swimming at the age of seven, and now every time he swims in a competitive race, he sets new world records that cannot be achieved by any old swimmer. Phelps trained almost every day of the year, and this did not only include swimming. Michael Phelps is a good representation of how hard work leads to success because he is now not only known as one of the greatest swimmers but the greatest Olympic athlete of all time. Work 3: Academic success is what every student wants, but is something not all students are prepared to work for. Most students believe that the successful people do not put any work into their academics. They think that the successful students are only gifted, and everything comes easy for them. That ideology is false because the most successful students put the most work in. It does not matter how intelligent one is, it matters how much effort you put into achieving your academic goals. • 13. Being a teacher is not easy as a lot of children and teens think. There are responsibilities that correspond with not only becoming a teacher, but also maintaining the job as a teacher. One responsibility for being a teacher includes preparing long–term lessons and grading papers for students. When you are a teacher, you can not teach a class without having your plans organized. Also, when the students are assessed, there will need to be someone who will need to critique what the students ВЁglowВЁ in and what the students will need to ВЁgrowВЁ in. Teachers also will need to remain at school sometimes before school doors open to students, during school hours, and after school hours. There will be times where a teacher will need to set up his/her room a specific way before students come back into the classroom or will need to think about some lessons, and before, during, and after school are the perfect times for a teacher to process his/her thoughts. Finally, teachers will need to build communication skills when speaking and communicating with students, other teachers, and parents. When speaking with parents, there will always be that one parent who does not care who they are talking to and that's the time you will need to have self–control when responding so you do not risk your job and sometimes risk your criminal record. After all, your main responsibilities are to prepare daily and long–term plans, remain at school most of the day, and develop and build communication skills. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. What it Means to be an American Essay What it Means to be an American What does it mean to be an American? In my eyes to be an American means to have privileges, rights, and freedom. America isn't perfect, but it is one of the only countries that have rights given to people of different diversities and gender. America does not have tremendous poverty. Instead we have choices given to us by the people who fought and died for the American people. Without George Washington and the other patriots who planted the first seed in the ground and help plant the American nation we live in now who knows what America would be like now. One of the most important and well–known facts about America is freedom. We are granted the freedom or choice in our...show more content... The people in America are given something that not everybody's given. A chance to be successful and to survive, and most countries are not given that chance. Being in America offers a lot to the people. One of the most important right America offers to America is the chance to be ourselves and to live in a place were small wars are not going on between states or communities. The U.S. gives us a chance to be fed. The people in America are not surrounded by a majority of starving people. Instead we have one of the most powerful economy in the world. America offers so much to the people who live in the U.S., but America will always be full of criticism, violence, and people who are offended by everything. America still seems to manage to be one of the world's best nations. The first Americans planned America to be as successful as it is, but for America to be more peaceful. America is not one of the most peaceful places, but it is not the most dangerous place to live. Even political parties lie and cheat each other. A lot of the Americans are greedy, because they take advantages of what America offers to their citizens. Even though America is not perfect I am still glad to live in the U.S. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Essay about Germany Germany is the fourth largest country in area in Europe, with a total area of 356,970 square kilometers (137,827 square miles). The country has a varied terrain that ranges from low–lying coastal flats along the North and Baltic seas, to a central area of rolling hills and river valleys, to heavily forested mountains and snow–covered Alps in the south. Germany has a long, complex history and rich culture, but it did not become a unified nation until 1871. Before that time, Germany had been a confederacy (1815–1867). The country has a total of 82,071,765 people (1997 estimate). Germany is overwhelmingly urban, and

Stretching from the Baltic and North seas to the Alps, Germany measures about 800 kilometers (about 500 miles) from north to south; the country extends about 600 km (about 400 miles) from west to east. In addition to coastline and mountains, the varied terrain includes forests, hills, plains, and river valleys. Several navigable rivers traverse the uplands, and canals connect the river systems of the Elbe, Rhine, and Danube rivers and link the North Sea with the Baltic. Germany has a mostly moderate climate, characterized by cool winters and warm summers. River valleys, such the Rhine, tend to be humid and somewhat warmer in both winter and summer, whereas mountain areas can be much colder.

Germany does not have large pockets of poverty or great economic disparity. Crime levels are substantially lower than those in the United States, and the possession of guns is controlled. However, there are substantial numbers of homeless people and problems of violence, alcoholism, and drug abuse. Nonviolent crimes, such as theft and burglary in urban areas, have increased since the 1970s. They occur often enough to make law and order a recurrent Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 19. Writing Is Easy By Steve Martin Summary The essay "Writing is Easy", by Steve Martin, is a hysterical essay that is comical in a way that I don't think the author intended. I think the essay is funny mainly because there is a part that is ironic for me that I can relate to. Although there is other parts in the essay that could be humorous as well, I couldn't get over one certain section of it. The funniest segment of the story is, "Go to an already published novel and find a sentence that you absolutely adore. Copy it down in your manuscript. Usually, that sentence will lead you to another sentence, and pretty soon your own ideas will start to flow. If they don't, copy down the next sentence in the novel. You can safely use up to three sentences of someone else's work– unless you're Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. A Very Easy Death : Perspective A Very Easy Death: Perspective In this interpretation of Simone de Beauvoir 's mother 's horrible decent to death, Beauvoir finds out her Maman is taken to the hospital for a broken bone after a fall, instead the fact that her mother has intestinal cancer is revealed. After many surgeries, her mother's suffering is only drawn out. The author ponders on the virtue of doing so, in conflict with condescending doctors while empathizing with overburdened nurses. Simone de Beauvoir gives us a reflective and somewhat detached depiction of the final days in the life of her declining mother. Interwoven throughout the novel is the escalating succession of the authors mother dying of cancer, there are also recollections of the relationships of younger years among herself, sister, and parents. Sprinkled throughout the account of Beauvoir`s experience, it is easy to see the many difficulties that occur within the relationships of doctors, health care staff, family and friends. This repertoire offers a profoundly private account of the, anguish, remorse, and frustration that is often associated with the journey of a loved one to his or her demise. The account is simplistic and to the point; with the frank and truthful visualization and rumination one would experience under similar circumstances. There is a moral dilemma initiated at the beginning of Beauvoir's hospital experience with her mother, which not only includes deception on the part of her and her sister, but dishonesty Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. Essay On Bauhaus The Bauhaus was an art school formed in 1919 by architect Walter Gropius in Germany. Bauhaus art movement took place between the two world wars. Bauhaus literal meaning is 'house of construction'. Before Bauhaus craft and design were taught separately in the European art schools but in Bauhaus combined craft, design and technology to build products. It was a revolutionary movement because before Bauhaus products were made in a small scale and by the used of hands, but Bauhaus was all about mass production, catering to a large number of people and making furniture which are highly functional. Bauhaus followed a simple philosophy of 'form follows function'. The products made used less material than before and were very light and easily portable....show more content... They all had the same vision and similar design thinking. Why I chose this topic ? Me being a product designer was always fascinated with Bauhaus and their design theory. I like simple yet functional products as simplicity is very hard to achieve. The honest use of materials is very important for me and Bauhaus is all about that. Mass production caters to a variety of people and through better and manufacturing techniques we can improve the standard of living of every individual and move the human race forward. Designing for a mass is a very difficult task as we need to think about all likes and dislikes of the consumer and then design accordingly. Methodology of research: I read many articles about Bauhaus on the internet and read a few books from the college library. I saw many products and textile work, but what caught my attention were the simplicity of the products and the honest use of materials. So, I decided to go ahead with the whole range of products produced in the Bauhaus movement during 1919–1933 and document the variety of materials and colours used in that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 22. Living With Less By Graham Hill I always knew people liked to consume more than what they need, but never really considered how it affects our environment. Until I read an article by Graham Hill called "Living with Less. A lot Less." In this article, Hill argues that individuals obtain products one doesn't need. Secondly, he mentions how purchasing these products won't make you happy, but can do the exact opposite. Lastly, Hill argues how living with less merchandise can make us feel and live happier. As a result, I compared my life to his and realized he's right having less might give us the opportunity to explore further. I agree with Hill's argument that one tends to buy more than what they use. I, for instance, am one of those individuals. Hill mentions this by saying "Members of every socioeconomic bracket can and do deluge themselves with products" (Hill 1). For instance, I remember when I received my first payment from babysitting. I was thrilled with the idea of finally being able to rely on myself to buy all the things I wanted. So, I headed towards the mall and went on a shopping spree. As a result, I arrived home with bags of merchandise as I unloaded them I became aware I had bought a lot of things I didn't need. As the days passed I became conscious of how I didn't use much of what I had bought but bought them because I liked the idea of being able to buy whatever I wanted without having anyone tell me what I couldn't buy. Not only does Hills argument make sense but also makes an important Get more content on HelpWriting.net
