The Right to Education Essay
Education is a elemental human right and essential for all other human rights. It is a powerful tool by which socially and economically marginalized
children and adults can lift themselves out of poverty. It also consists of the right to freedom of education. Freedom of education is the right given to
human beings to have access to the education of their preference without any constrictions. Right to education is a human right recognized by the
United Nations. It includes the entire compulsion to eliminate inequity at all levels of the educational system.
The rights to education are separated into three levels:

Higher education should be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit. Professional and technical education should be made generally available.
Education should promote friendship, understanding and tolerance among all nations, religious or racial groups, and the activities of the United

respect for human rights and freedoms.
All the parents have a right to decide the type of education that shall be given to their children.
The right to education is also reaffirmed by the 1st Protocol of ECHR, 1981 Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against
Women, and also the 1960 UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) Convention against Discrimination in
Education.

'smart' like physics, calculus or chemistry. Students who do these subjects are more often than not considered to be promising intellectuals, whereas

Education is an essential mechanism for gaining knowledge and learning new skills. We begin the process at home, then we carry our journey into the
different level of schooling and finally into the real world. Education guilds us to make decisive and better choices for our lives. Also, it supplements a

Not enough children or adults are receiving the education they need in order to be successful. It's unfair that we are receiving that education while the
children in Africa are poor and are looking for materials in order to survive. Education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction,

There were an estimated eight million six to 14 year–olds in India out–of–school in 2009. The world cannot reach its goal to have every child complete
primary school by 2015 without India.
Schools shall constitute School Management Committees (SMCs) comprising local authority officials, parents, guardians and teachers. The SMCs
shall form School Development Plans and monitor the utilization of government grants and the whole school environment.
RTE also mandates the inclusion of 50 per cent women and parents of children from disadvantaged groups in SMCs. Such community participation will
be crucial to ensuring a child friendly "whole school" environment through separate toilet facilities for girls and boys and adequate attention to health,
water, sanitation and hygiene issues.
How does RTE promote Child–Friendly Schools?
All schools must comply with infrastructure and teacher norms for an effective learning environment. Two trained teachers will be provided for every
sixty students at the primary level.
Teachers are required to attend school regularly and punctually, complete curriculum instruction, assess learning abilities and hold regular
parent–teacher meetings. The number of teachers shall be based on the number of students rather than by grade.
