Partners In Health Monrovia, Liberia,
Director of Nursing Oct 2014 – Present
Lead the development and implementation of the Partners In Health Liberia clinical programs during the
recent Ebola Outbreak
Manage and supervise the opening and clinical staff operations of two Ebola Treatment Units in Liberia
Manage and mentor incoming volunteer clinicians throughout the Ebola outbreak and long-term strategy of
health system strengthening and improved global health delivery in Liberia
Work closely with the Government of Liberia, Ministry of Health, Clinton Health Access Initiative,
USAID/OFDA, and other non-governmental organizations
Assisted in the management and implementation of a large USAID/OFDA grant for Ebola response and
recovery in Liberia
Assisted in the management and implementation of Center for Disease Control (GHSA) grant in support of
mentorship, evaluation and supervision of national clinicians in the health center and clinic setting
Work closely with national nursing educators and nursing board members to improve quality curriculum and
bridge education to quality health care delivery
Work closely with Tubman University, the only 4 year public nursing school, to support and improve
curriculum development and advanced degree programs in nursing and public health
Worked closely with Tubman University, County referral hospital and the Board of Nursing and Midwifery
to obtain the first three year national accreditation for the Bachelor of Science Nursing program
Accompany and support the county hospital Nursing Director to ensure proper administration, staffing, and
clinical policies and procedures are being implemented in accordance to national Ministry of Health
guidelines
Manage and support a training and in-service schedule to bring professional development and improved
nursing competencies to current clinical staff
Work with national government and Ministry of Health to achieve and support Millennium Development
Goals such as decreasing child mortality, improve maternal health and combat communicable diseases such
