Introduction to Collage Project
Henri Matisse was a French artist born in 1869 who helped develop Fauvism. He is known for using collage techniques in his later works, cutting and arranging colored paper or other materials to create abstract compositions and shapes. Matisse aimed to simplify forms and use bright colors and geometric or organic shapes to create real or imaginary objects and interior spaces that evoke cultural experiences.
