Today's lesson is about contemporary
Philippine arts from the regions. In our
previous lesson, we talked about the
definition of contemporary art in art
historical, cultural, and stylistic terms.
We will continue with this topic and
discuss the difference between
contemporary art and traditional arts.
Ask students what they know
about contemporary arts and how
they differ from traditional arts.
Present a brief overview of the
previous lesson about traditional
arts.
Today, we will be discussing
contemporary major artworks in the
Philippines and their symbolism and
importance. But before we start, can
someone define what "contemporary
art" means?
