Developing a presentation-What is my topic? What is the purpose?
Knowing your audience-large/small,Amateurs/Experts,Status of
members, cultural makeup of the group etc.
How will I deliver? What does my audience want to know from
me?-WIIFM
Identifying your presentation style-
Large group, big room would need a formal manner of
speaking, slides would have to be simple(speaker centred style)
Focused group, more detailed slides, supported by graphs and
charts, style will have to be adapted to the specific requirements of
the group.
Small group,more interactive style,audience centred.

orderly manner, pitch, volume and tone are under control, speaker is
focused,clear reasoning,precise arguments.
Hot zone Speaker-loud voice,rhetorical style,dramatic body
movements,shifting postures,darting eyes.Political leaders belong to
this category.Liked by some, not by others.
Dull Zone speaker-makes presentation a boring experience, lack of
pitch variation,uncompromising body language,incompatibility with
the audience, nervous body language, tremors in the voice, poor eye
contact make the presentation a dull experience for the audience.
