28/11/2017
Today we started our production
experiment. This morning, we answered
questions which were set by other people as
part of our interview research section. I
found this rather hard at times, as the first
question which I answered was very
confusing. I don’t play games this often and
the first question had something about an
RPG. Straight away I was confused but I
asked Josh and he soon gave me an
example. In the afternoon we started work
on production experiments. To the left is
two example screenshots of my work. I
decided that I wanted to do a match game
and I have imitated the game snap. This was
rather easy to do, but I think when I go back
onto Photoshop I will do the menu font
different as it looks very messy.

3. Reflection
What elements of your
experiments will you include
in your final product?
In this experiment I added a menu
which I will add into my final product.
However, I will have the font different as
it looks very rushed and not very
professional. I will not have my
background with a stereotypical gender
based colour. Instead I will have a black
background as its not gender based and
my game is targeted at any gender.

4. 29/11/2017
On a Wednesday, we are only in for the
afternoon. I thought it would be a good
idea to restart my pre-production game
of snap in the space of 3 hours. I
wanted to change the background
colour and I wanted to font to look
different. I also decided to change some
of the shapes which matched up. It got
two the second half of the afternoon
and I had to start animate it. I had
finished animating it very soon so I
decided to put a stopwatch on. I ended
up rushing this as I was running out of
time. Next time, I would like to do a
different concept. Instead I would
change my concept for the game to
something more difficult which I was
interested in.

5. Reflection
What elements of your
experiments will you include
in your final product?
I like the fact that when you get a match
correct there is a tick and if you get it
incorrect there is a cross. I also like the
colour theme but this will not go into
my genre of my final product. I disliked
the shapes which were behind the cards.
This is mainly because I was very rushed
to complete it. Next time, I would create
my own shapes and have then blend in
to the game.

6. 30/11/2017
Today, I put my file onto
YouTube. This meant that in the
future I can refer back to it

If I ever do this again, I would
take more time to put more
detail in my work. If I did not
run out of time I would of liked
to add some sound effects so it
wouldn't’t be so boring.
