3. Geographically Patharghata has been identified as one of the
most important and promising area for marine fish. (Roy, B.J.
2010.)
Sharks, rays, and skates are of great commercial importance
worldwide although shark fishery in Bangladesh is not a target
fishery; its availability is incidental as by-catch (Haroon, A.K.Y.,
2010).
A study was conducted to assess the effect of sun on drying shark
fillet and fin at Pathargahata. It takes usually 7 to 8 days
depending on weather.

To assess the time required for the sun drying process
of the shark fillets and fins.
5. Materials and Methods
The study collected data both from secondary and
primary sources. Primary data has been collected
employing the following techniques;
