I am writing to express my interest in the finance internship/co-op at GE Aviation as seen
on the website. My education in accounting will help me produce accurate financial
statements for the company. My intense work ethic and individual work preference will
allow me to be a vital asset to your team. I am sure my strategic thinking and efficient
work ethic will align with the mission of GE Aviation because that’s one of your values.
My high level of determination and organizational skills are highlighted through my
academic work at Mount St. Joseph University. Rigorous and demanding accounting
courses have definitely prepared me by providing me with the basic principles of
accounting, and have prepared me to learn many more things on my own. The main skills
that the accounting courses have taught me were strong analytical skills, problem solving
skills, and achieving goals within a specific deadline. I feel these skills help me in order
to perform for this position. With rigorous accounting courses, they demanded a lot of
time and dedication. Because of this, I gained extensive experience in preparing income
statements and balance sheets. We don’t do a ton of projects in my current classes, but I
am willing to be apart of projects and work in a team. Just recently we worked on large
budget project for a make-believe company. This project helped us gain some experience
with providing sales budgets.
I am very confident that my strong work ethic and educational background will make me
an essential asset to your team at GE Aviation. My qualifications for the accounting
