2014. I have a degree in Accounting and Computer Sciences and have worked as an accountant at many increasingly responsible
levels for all of my career. I am a very capableperson and take pridein accuratedata production. My experiences in leadership
roles within my current and pastpositions haveled to increased sensitivity and a collaborativemindsetwhen itcomes to solving
problems.
I have a broad background in all accounting functions in my current and previous jobs.I have performed many different aspects
of financeand accountingduties dependent on what was required in each position.In many of my positions,I havebeen
responsiblefor all theaccountingfunctions of the company, as well as the day-to-day operations,and the short and longrange
planning required to keep the company profitablein uncertain economic times. In almostall of the positions I haveheld, I was
responsiblefor all financialsof the firm, from daily journal entries,to payroll,to the filingof corporatetax returns . I have
extensive budget, project and grant accountingexperience through each of my different jobs in many different ways. I have
always passed all of my audits with State agencies,Department of Revenue, L&I, Unemployment. I have facilitated annual audits
performed by contractors,grantors, and independent professional auditors,as required for reportingpurposes. I have tracked
many different programs/divisions incomeand expenses within the companies to monitor the profitability individually and as a
whole, offeringanalysison actual versus estimated/budgeted income and expenses.
I enjoy the analytical accountingaspectof my current and pastpositions.I haveperformed inventory valuations on a monthly
and annual basis.I havereconciled actual verses quoted costas part of the job costingprocess,which also included costinglabor,
materials,overhead and calculatingour margin. I have estimated many complex budgets based on pastactivity and future
forecasts.
I am an excellent communicator and a strong team player becauseI believe that working as a team is the most effective and
creative way to solveproblems. I supportmy team through ongoing trainingand providefeedback on a consistentbasis. My
staff view me as sourceof knowledge and come to me for supportand guidance. I enjoy workingwith my team and
collaboratingon projects as needed. I enjoy our weekly meetings when we check in with each other and we work together on
our tasks.
I am very proficientin my use of all the programs in MicrosoftOfficeProfessional. I haveworked in many different accounting
systems including MIP,Sage Acc Pac ERP and Peachtree/Sage 50, as well as customdesigned programs and reports in Access and
other programs. I have often simultaneously been the IT person and worked with internal and external customers to manage the
network and all of the computers or work stations,as needed. I have completed many accountingand network system
conversions.
