•It is the stage at which you learn what the speaker
means “The thoughts and emotional tone”

to the minds storage bank

This stage requires that the receiver complete the
process through verbal and non-verbal feedback;
because the speaker has no other way to determine
if a message has been received.
7. DEVELOPING EFFECTING LISTENING SKILLS
•Make eye contact(but don’t stare)
•Don’t interrupt
•Wait for speaker to pause to ask clarifying
•Ask questions only to ensure understanding
•Don’t have a poker face. Use your face and
body to get involved and show you are listening
•Be attentive, but relaxed
•Give regular feedback
