to cover all the bases when you’re busy. So this week our

checklist of exhibition essentials that no self-respecting
Marketing Manager should be without!

MAKE SURE EVERYBODY KNOWS T HE OBJECT IVES OF
T HE SHOW
We’re sure that as a Marketing Manager you’ve adapted to working at
break-neck speed.
A common mistake made is that everything looks perfect, however your
team are unsure as to why they’re there.
Make sure you have specific objectives in place that the team know from
the back of their hands so you know that you will come out on top.
ENSURE YOUR EXHIBIT ION STAND DISPLAYS YOUR
MESSAGE CLEARLY
Passers by probably won’t stop at your stand if it is boring and they
have no idea what service your company gives.
So make sure that your message is displayed as boldly as possible,
and make it short and sweet.
ORGANISE YOUR PROMOT IONAL MATERIAL IN GOOD
T IME FOR T HE SHOW
Make sure you get all of your promo goods together in good time and double
check it displays your company clearly and in the best way possible.
PRE -BOOK ALL OF YOUR T RAVEL ARRANGEMENTS AND
ACCOMODATION
You definitely do not want to leave this to the last minute either.
As soon as everything with the event has been given the go ahead, this
should be one of the top things to do on your list.
You don’t want the added stress of staying in a rubbish hotel and having
a nightmare trying to get to the venue!
USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO PROMOT E YOUR APPEARANCE AT
T HE SHOW
The events usually have somebody running a social media page, so if you tweet
that you’re appearing at that event it is highly likely that they will retweet it and
visitors will probably see it.
Also, tweet directly to your followers and let them know that you’re there and
continue to update them with what is going on when the event is happening.
USE A QUICK AND EASY MET HOD TO COLLATE YOUR
LEADS
There are plenty of ways to do this, but the main thing is that any contact details
obtained from potential customers are taken down somewhere that is clear and
will make it easy for you when you go to follow up.
GIVE CLEAR INST RUCTIONS FOR LEAD FOLLOW -UPS
AFT ER THE SHOW
Make sure you and your team are ready to follow up quickly, and it is
important that you don’t depend on the customers to get in contact with
you.

The events usually have somebody running a social media page, so if you tweet that you’re appearing at that event it is highly likely that they will retweet it and visitors will probably see it. Also, tweet directly to your followers and let them know that you’re there and continue to update them with what is going on when the event is happening.

  • 14. There are plenty of ways to do this, but the main thing is that any contact details obtained from potential customers are taken down somewhere that is clear and will make it easy for you when you go to follow up.
