The following screenshots have been taken from my footage in
which I have recorded over my first experiment consisting from the
08/11/2016. Participants were happy enough to be filmed however
all responded the camera differently, the following screenshots will
show my findings of what happened.
3. Dabs-The dabisadance
movement in which the
dancersimultaneously
dropsthehead while
raising anarmandthe
elbow.This seemed tobe
aprettycommon
movementdocumented
throughoutthe
experiment byyoung
people, including these
visualexamples.
4. More exampleof
Dabs performed
by percipients,
againquite a
common thing
to do for young
people that were
document within
this 45 minute of
footage ….
5. Deviant Behaviour-
Student throws bagat
afellow students
direction, despite the
cameraclearly
recording,mostwere
aware andstill choseto
actnormally including
typical behaviourthat
is expectedofyoung
kids.Showing their
comfortablenessin
frontofthe camera.
6. Waves-again, another
commonthing for
students to dowas to
smile andwave in front
ofthe camera-easily
showing how
comfortablethey were
in walking past the
cameraandwelcoming
it to their lives.
7. Quite a fewliked to
simply engage with the
camera,they would
speakdirectly into it
andwouldtalk about
differenttopics.They
were ratherhappy to
be recordedin this
mannerandhardly
askedquestions
regarding asto why I
was recordingthem.
8. People who noticed
the camera and
attempted to
conceal identity-
This percipient
could see the
camera and
attempted to hide
his face away,
showing that the
camera was
recognised from
afar yet was not
comfortable in
being exposed.
9. Others who certainly
seenthe camera
recordingthem but
simply choseto ignore
it andcarryontheir
activities-have they
invited surveillance
into their lives?Why
have they accepted
this asthe norm.I
wouldlike to conduct
somemoreresearch
into this.
