2. EMPLOYMENT
Atlantic Resources Ltd
I am working at Total Laggan Tormore Project In the
Shetland Isles as a Q/C Welding Inspector my duties Involve
monitoring the production welds from the welders checking
they are working within the specification of the weld
procedure and leave a quality weld. I am also Involved in the
testing of welders at the test centre, I am also Involved in the
walking of the lines and test packs coordinating with the client
and keeping a good dialogue at all times.
Q.S.A. December 2014 - May
I am currently working for Q.S.A in Norway sub contracted to
Bergen Group in Hanoytangen near Bergen. I am working on
the refurbishment of a semi submergible rig for the Dolphin
Group. My current duties consist of monitoring all fit-ups pre
welding and liaising with the client prior to welding, after
welding ensuring all procedures and weld sequences where
applicable are adhered to, all consumables are logged for
traceability and welders numbers logged for reference i.e. any
repairs and for weld packs when the job is complete.
Rotech. Eng. – April 2010 to Dec 2014
Working in fabrication shop as a welding inspector preparing
WPS and monitoring welding tests, insuring all procedures
are adhered to and making sure all consumables are logged in
an appropriate manner. I am also responsible for examining fit
ups of pipes and any steel work we may have ongoing at the
time, checking finished spools for the proper dimensions
before they go for final NDT. Prepare all relevant paperwork
for traceability and verification that they adhere to the the
spec required for the job in hand.
I have also been involved in working in Africa
(Equatorial Guinea) as a welding foreman and responsible for
3. the inspection of the jumper spools we were making for
Amerada Hess for their Sub Sea Division and liaising with the
local inspection company and local labour most of the work
was done in a yard Hess had at Luba and the final Tie Ins
were done offshore after final sizes were taken.

Working offshore on shutdowns and hook-ups, currently
working in fabrication shop on pipe-work for the offshore
sector, welding various materials and various processes.

Working in Rotech fabrication shop welding various types of
material Stainless, Carbon, Cunifer, Duplex, chrome molly.
Then going offshore to do shut downs I was also deployed to
Equatorial Guinea in Africa to weld and tie in Jumper spools
for Amerada Hess on a few occasions.

Installing pipework and structural steelwork and erecting and
welding new ovens for making Carbon Fibre sub-contracted
to Crown House Eng at Beauly Inverness.

Working on phase 2 of the Huntstown Power station.
I was involved in doing weld procedures and welding the
pipework and structural work on the boilers leading to the gas
turbine welding a variety of materials.

Working on an extension to the existing Pfizer Pharmaceutical
process plant welding new pipework in the new build and then
doing the tie in’s from the existing building and the new build,
welding various materials.
