I started my career in the oilfield in 1987 working for Grace Miller drilling working in worms corner. I
worked my way up to a Derrick position. Then Grace sold out so I went to work for a little company
called Evans Drilling. It was a little family owned drilling company that mainly did turnkey work. I
worked floors, motors and derricks for them. We worked 7 days a week. I did that until the owner of
that companydecidedthatthey wanted to retire. Then I hired out to Nabors Drilling. I worked my way
up thru the ranksuntil I became a rigmanagerworkingon manydifferent style and horsepower of rigs.
After 10 years I wanted a change of pace so I hired out to Patterson UTI drilling as a Rig Manager and
workedforthemfor 2 years.Thena newcompanywasstartingup and askedme to go to work them. So
I hired out to Aquila Drilling as a rig manager. I stayed with them for 7 years. Then Eagle oil and gas
which owns Aquila started a joint venture in Mexico with Mex oil. I was asked to go down there and
assemble a2000 HP drillingthattheywere sendingdownthere todrill some holes. Later on I was hired
as uppermanagementforIndustrial CostaMesaoverseeingasthe regional manager.Iassembledafleet
of 3000 horsepowerdrillingrigsthattheypurchasedfromunitdrillingandbeganoverseeingthemaswe
put them in the field. I have extensive downhole experience in both lateral and horizontal wells.
