Avalanche
LOCATION: a customer's office and IT is in Shanghai, China.
SCENARIO:
• They were opening a new warehouse in Suzhou. Suzhou is near
Shanghai but in another province. From the end of January, all
China provinces/cities were in lockdown meaning IT could not go to
the new warehouse for support. New devices were shipped
to Suzhou directly from the manufacturer.
SOLUTION:
• Upon arrival, workers scanned pre-supplied StageNow barcodes
which installed software and enrolled the devices into Avalanche.
Avalanche then configured the WiFi and network security, organized
the devices into correct folders, and applied the specific software
payload and configuration for each device. All automatically.​
• To handle issues with individual devices, Smart Remote Control was
used to remotely see the user's screen and troubleshoot.​
OUTCOME:
• This process allowed IT staff to Work From Home (WFH) to set up
and deploy the new warehouse remotely.
