46. What are the dangers faced by the wild animals?
1. Deforestation – Destroying forests by cutting down
trees on a large scale. This makes the animals
homeless. This is done only by human beings.
2. Wildlife Poaching - Poaching is defined as the illegal
hunting or capturing of wild animals by human beings
for pleasure, as an adventure or as a greed to make money
by selling their body parts like skin, bones, hones and tusks.

Rhinoceroses are killed for their hones.
Tigers and leopards are hunted for their skin.
Elephants are killed for their tusks.
