COLEACP’s intervention programmes are built on three pillars:
A sustainability charter that consist of a set of criteria (based around 7 key principles) that, when adhered to, will help operators ensure that they comply with regulations (in particular local, EU and international SPS regulations and standards), are able to meet buyer demands, are competitive, and use good social and environmental practices;
A system of self-assessment with key indicators to assess and evidence progress in adopting good practice and in addressing the principles of the Charter.
A sustainable training system, aiming to build capacity of the key stakeholders and its direct environment (including service providers)
The potential areas for support are wide and aim to strengthen the skills of horticultural operators from a holistic, but still demand-driven perspective. Depending on the identified needs, it could include support on production, plant health, food safety, processing, social accountability, environment, business management or training methods.
OLEACP’s E-learning platform, allows you to develop skills and expertise within your organisation.
The E-learning platform includes:
E-learning courses (to take individually, at your own pace)
Digital training (to follow in group): this includes interactive training combining live sessions, exercises to do at a distance, and different content to view.
The E-learning platform also contains a resources tab to centralise tutorials, and links to useful content.
All the courses and training offered on the platform are related to our eight main thematics.
