2. TOGETHER, IN HARMONY!
INTRODUCTION
The ERASMUS+ project “TOGETHER, IN HARMONY!” is a collaborative
partnership between five schools from Romania, Italy, Turkey, Lithuania, and Spain:
• Şcoala Gimnazială “Lucian Grigorescu” – Medgidia (Romania, Project Coordinator)
• ICS Francesco Riso – Isola Delle Femmine (Italy)
• Kardelen Ortaokulu – Yalova (Turkey)
• Klaipedos Vites Progimnazija – Klaipeda (Lituania)
• Ieso Harevolar – Alovera (Spain)
This project runs from 01.09.2022 to 31.08.2024, with the main goal of involving
students in actions that contribute to raising awareness on the importance of creating an
inclusive and harmonious school environment by respecting diversity and promoting tolerance,
social equity, and equality. In this document, we are going to register and summarise the main
activities developed by our teachers and students at IESO Harévolar.
ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT
The project started with an online meeting at the partnership level which had the
purpose of establishing the methods of carrying out the activities proposed to be carried out at
the level of each partner school and discussing administrative and financial aspects regarding
its implementation. Spanish teachers Serafín Cabañas and Lara Villarmea took part in this
meeting.
One of the tasks assigned in this meeting was the need to make up the Teacher
Management Team (TMT) and the Student Management Team (SMT), so this was the first
thing we worked on. The responsibilities within the teams were established, and the
implementation strategies for 2022-2023 were discussed and planned. The TMT was formed
by the following teachers:
• Laura Fortea Manzanares, headmistress of our school
• Sonia Gutiérrez Serrano, deputy manager
• Ana Manau Paraled, secretary. She will be in charge of the budged and the
justification of expenses
• Lara Villarmea Iglesias, project coordinator. She will be in charge of project
meetings and reports and of organising local and LTT activities
• Serafín Cabañas de Miguel, collaborator in activities
During the second Teacher's Council, held on 7/09/2022, Lara Villarmea (the project
coordinator) presented the project to the rest of teachers, summarising the main
characteristics, objectives and the program of activities, as well as the selection process.
Actually, in all the Bilingual Meetings of this month (held every Thursday), the teachers
brainstormed and developed the selection criteria and process in order to make up the
Student Management Team. Finally, we designed the following steps:
1. Hold a meeting with our students from 3ºESO (our target level) to present the project
2. Hold a meeting with their parents, too.
3. Accept listings until October, 7th
.
3. TOGETHER, IN HARMONY!
4. Make a level test to assess communication skills in English. This level test is going to
be disqualifying.
5. Design the project logo and participate in the logo contest. Here we assess digital skills
as well as creativity. The logo is up to 10 points.
6. Write a letter of application, addressed to the teacher management team. In this letter,
the applicant must explain his/her reasons to participate in the project and explain why
he/she is a good candidate. With this letter, we assess communication skills and
motivation. The letter is up to 10 points.
7. Defend candidacy in a personal interview. The applicants must answer several
questions to assess their availability (both in time and effort), possibility to host 1 or 2
students and their previous involvement in other school’s activities. The interview is up
to 10 points.
With a maximum of 30 points, the 8 students that got the highest number of points will
make up the Student Management Team. The SMT will be in charge of coordinating any
activity related to the project and of carrying out any task required by the TMT. These
responsibilities have a clear reward, since the SMT will be the ones to enjoy the LTT activities.
OBJECTIVES ACHIEVED
