When thinking about what specific area of the media industry that I want to make my future career, there are two main
areas that I have always been interested in and they are photography and videography. Throughout the years of
media being present in the world photography and videography has shaped the way on how the audience views a
specific product whether that be movie posters, product advertisement or trailers for a new film. In a modern age
where everything is all visual photography and videography is a main part of our every day routines whether that be
scrolling through social media or watching TV and seeing adverts. One reason why I am passionate about
photography and videography is that it allows me to capture raw and special moments and I am able to show
products or a specific scene in a way that I think would look best to the audience. In terms of photography I am more
interested in band/ gig photography as it allows me to capture the audience and the performer in their peak moments
and capture the atmosphere throughout the room in specific moments. With videography it allows me to manipulate
scenes and moments into how I think it would capture the audiences attention the most, that could be with a scene for
a documentary, a social media post or a trailer for a movie etc. Below are some images that I have taken at a recent

They are a digital content production studio that specialise in digital photographic content, video production and web
design.
Another company which is present in the media is the BBC who are offering apprenticeship to allow people to build and
grow within the media industry. This apprenticeship allows candidates to get involved with:
Coming up with new ideas for the company
Get involved with the editing and filming process of upcoming ideas.

To be able to follow a career in the photography and videography, there are some key skills and experience that is needed for this
specific job roles, these may include:

Careers- My Key Areas
SteadiCam- Steadicam is a piece of equipment that is used frequently used in the
media industry to capture a smooth shot rather than having harsh edits throughout a
scene. As well as photography and videography, I would like to adventure into
Steadicam operating as it is a popular piece of equipment that is in high demand in
different forms of media whether that be films, TV shows or sporting events.
Photography- When thinking about potential careers in the industry I feel
passionate about photography, or more specifically band photography as it allows
me to capture raw moments between the performer and the crowd. Photography
also allows your content to be published in many forms of media whether that be
social media, magazines, billboards .etc.
Videography- Another area in media that interest me is videography as I am able to
show a product or create content that allows me to change the audiences
perspective to see my creative vision how it was meant to be viewed by my
audience. Like the band photography it allows me to capture raw moments in a
video form, but I am able to become more creative with the final product.
