2. Overview
I am a veteran wireless industry
executive, and I work to deliver products
and services that delight my customers
I bring order to chaos, focusing disparate
groups to complement and amplify each
others’ work
I separate signal from noise to identify
key factors driving business results
3. Wireless Industry Executive
Led product management department responsible
for all Samsung mobile products for Verizon
Wireless
Led research groups innovating
2G/3G/4G technologies, and
developed next generation wireless
network architectures
Represented Nokia in 3GPP2
standards body and 3G Americas
Board of Governors
4. I Bring Order to Chaos
I know how to bring together disparate
teams of people to produce more than
they could working independently
I believe in the inverted org chart; hire
the best people, provide them what they
need, and stay out of their way
5. I Can Separate Signal from Noise
I know how to cut through the clutter, and keep the
organization’s “eyes on the prize”
I continually test the organization’s understanding of the
environment to push it up the knowledge hierarchy
I drive continuous innovation as Wisdom
necessary for the organization to survive
and to thrive Knowledge
Information
Data
Noise
6. In Summary …
I have 22+ years of experiences in the telecom/wireless
industry
I have contributed to the evolution of wireless services
and products up to the current 4G LTE systems
I bring a keen understanding of what’s important to
drive the business, and what is not

11. Member of Technical Staff
AT&T Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies, 1987 - 1997
Conducted forward-looking research into concepts and prototypes
for next generation wireless infrastructure
Architected and implemented radically new approach to wireless
networks based on ATM switching, object-oriented programming, and
commercial servers. The resulting system offered substantial
savings in time and money in product creation and evolution.
Developed first distributed client/server prototypes for control of
wireless cell sites in an ATM network. Developed and implemented
object models for communication, call control and radio resource
management supporting CDMA, TDMA, GSM and AMPS cell sites
utilizing CORBA middleware. Many of these concepts were
forerunners to 3GPP Rel5 and Rel6 systems.
Developed advanced sonar signal interpretation algorithms under
DARPA contract. Held DoD Secret security clearance, with code-
word clearance during this period.
12. Engineer/Supervisor
General Dynamics Electric Boat, 1982 - 1987
Held engineering and supervisory positions related to the
design, manufacture, and construction of SSBN726 (Ohio),
SSN688 (Los Angeles), and SSN21 (Seawolf) class nuclear
submarines
Managed construction crews in all phases of pre-launch
construction of nuclear submarines within allotted budget and
schedule
Leveraged construction experience to redesign structures for
manufacturing and installation efficiencies, resulting in
substantial savings in time and rework
Held DoD Secret and DoE Confidential security clearances
during this assignment
