Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 is a timeline-based video editing software used by broadcasters like the BBC and in feature films. The document discusses an individual editing their music video using Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, choosing it for its updated features and 50 new effects. While new to the software, tutorials provided by Adobe helped the individual learn the tools. Some issues encountered were long rendering times, needing to frequently save under different file names to avoid losing work, and difficulties with syncing that were overcome by watching another tutorial.
1. Adobe Premier Pro CS6.
‘Adobe Premiere Pro is a timeline-based video
editing software application. It is part of the
Adobe Creative Suite, a suite of graphic design,
video editing and web development programs.’
Premiere Pro is used by broadcasters such as the
BBC and The Tonight Show. It has been used in
feature films, such as The Social Network, Captain
Abu Raed, and Monsters, and other venues such
as Madonna's Confessions Tour.
When editing my music video I used adobe ‘s
premier pro, the CS6 version. I used CS6 as it’s the
most up to date version of the programme and
had all the features of editing that I wanted to
use, having over 50 new effects that I had
researched in to.
Premier Pro was a new software to me when
starting to edit, however adobe supply a good
range of tutorials that made working in CS6 a lot
easier. Therefore when I began to edit I had a
good knowledge of the entire tool Adobe supply
and used a range of effects from film dissolve and
colour distortion.
However when working in CS6 I encountered
several problems such as rendering, saving and
syncing. When rendering I had to ensure I was
using time wisely as rendering is a long process
therefore I decided to make certain times to
render where I could get on with other work, I
also had to ensure I saved each video file with a
different file name to make sure I didn’t lose and
work. Lastly syncing was a hard process as you
have to work out timings and cuts however I
overcame this by watching another tutorial.
