Gary Waughman I have 20 years experience in management, coaching, team

Employment:
1996-2000 Head Professional/Manager Lymington Tennis Club
My brief for this job was to design, develop, market and implement
a thriving Tennis Club Program to increase membership and
participation in tennis with in the community.
I started with 30 members and increased it to 150 over a period of
time.
In this time we trialed the first ever LTA soft ball/small court mini
tennis program and developed a performance structure that
produced many county, regional and national juniors.
I developed a retail outlet (pro shop) and stringing service on site
as well as online.
At Lymington we delivered a varied range of coaching sessions
from mini tennis, adult rusty rackets, team training, school tennis
and much more........We designed, organised and implemented
successful junior and adult competitions within the club, local
counties and schools
2000-2006 Head Professional/Manager Kingsley Tennis Club
2. Kingsley Tennis Centre asked if I would develop every aspect of
their indoor tennis club to compete with other indoor facilities in
surrounding counties.
I was up to the challenge!!!!!!!!!
I increased participation creating maximum revenue per court both
through an exciting coaching structure and a pay and play scheme
for non members.
The club received the LTA perfomrance status which I was very
proud of.
At Kingsley I managed a team of coaches and also created a
successful outreach program to encourage individuals and families
back to participate at the club.
My duties also included designing, developing and running one of
the most successful performance and mini tennis programs in the
area, this was enhanced by the results we achieved in aegon, hants
and IOW, local leagues and NCL competitions.
I competed at that time and represented the NCL team along with
coaching the aegon junior teams.
2006 Manager/Coach to Luke Steere on tour
I worked with Luke Steere full time out of the Hampshire Tennis
and Health Club.
The club offered us the use of the facility and in return the club was
mentioned in all press coverage.
I looked after every aspect of Luke's tennis program from the on
court training, gym training, nutrition, timetabling, tournament
scheduling, sponsorship and lots more.
Luke was ranked top 4 in Britain under 18.
Sadly due to a lack of funding we had to halt our project.
2006-2013 Tennis Manager Highfield School
I was approached to design and develop a coaching program at
Highfield Boarding School in Liphook. I employed 6 coaches and
expanded the program from a 10 hour week timetable to over 120
hours. At Highfield we offered a basic development coaching
program which in itself produced many county junior players. As
well as managing the coaches I enjoyed developing the
performance players and increasing participation in the adult
program.
2012-2013 Performance Manager Kingsley Tennis Club
Kingsley Indoor Tennis Club contacted me and asked if I would
take on the Performance Academy Program part time alongside my
Highfield School commitments.
I obliged and worked for 6 months with some of the top juniors in
the country.
I developed the program, travelled with players to tournaments
whilst liasing with parents at all times.
2013-2015 Manager Waughmantennis and Waughmansports
In March 2013 I formed Waughmantennis.
Waughmantennis currently runs Coaching Programs at 2 small
Clubs, 2 Private Schools, 7 state schools, and has contracts on
private courts.
Within a short space of time these facilities have grown in
participation by 200% and still growing.
Each facility is designed, developed, marketed and run by myself
and I take great pride in having the ability to turn a moderate tennis
facility in a busy, thriving, healthy business.
3. We are currently working with the local council at Colden
Common to redevelop a 2 court park area in very bad condition
into a new 3 court club with clubhouse.

promising.
These are the challenges I enjoy as what I do makes such a
difference to local comunities.
