3. Four Questions to Ask Ourselves:
• H –ow Sanctified?
• O –ffering Self?
• L –odging in the heavenly places?
• Y –oked to Christ?
4. How are we sanctified?
• We are called
• Called out of the world
• Called by the truth, the gospel
• Called to the will of God
• An appeal for marriage has been made
5. Are you “offering” yourself?
• In view of what God “offered” for you,
• It is reasonable to offer yourself as a “living sacrifice” –
Rom.12:1-3
• Like in marriage, you promise yourself exclusively to God alone
6. Are You Lodging in the heavenly places?
• In separating to God (sanctification), you enter into His
habitations or domain
• Here, you enjoy His things:
• “every spiritual blessing” – Eph.1:3,7
• Your heart and affections are with Him – Col.3:1-3
• As in marriage, you dwell together, share life together
7. Are You Yoked to Christ?
• Set apart (sanctified) to be
yoked to Christ
• The yoke forms a team, a unit
that does nothing apart from
the other
• In marriage, two yoked as
inseparable unit
