carries a message.
• Media are intended to convey information, or messages, to
many people at once. Therefore, media is any form of
communication, written, broadcast or even spoken, that reaches
a large audience.
• Every day we receive hundreds of messages from the media.
3. Where is the media?
• The media is all around us. We see and hear information from the
media every day.
• We get information from newspapers, television and radio. However,
we also get information from text messages, logos on clothing, apps
on cell phones and even food packaging.
• The media convey messages to us in different ways - we can listen to
the radio, look at posters and billboards and interact on computers
and cell phones!
