Located on a flat land mass, the institute caters over
500 students in 8 departments.
Activities are distributed on each floor as per footfall
with administration department taking the front side
on all the floors.
The grand entrance porch and foyer coupled with the
arched elevation give a monumental character to the
structure.
Apart from adding Islamic character, the arched
curtain walls on the exterior act as a additional
shading element in harsh summer weather.
The corridors are lined with open to sky courtyards
based on principles of vernacular architecture which
help in reducing costs and also

The design brief was to enhance the living
conditions on the already dilapidated amenities
provided by the developer.
External modifications needed to be considerate
to the neighboring structures.
Extensive internal modifications were
undertaken in order to modernize the amenities
without impacting the structure of the building.
An open plan concept was adapted to enable
more natural light and ventilation and thus
connecting the indoors with the scenic
surroundings.
26. ANALYSISOFBUILDINGFAÇADE
The juxtaposition of repetitive
elements creates a variety in
the street character. It is due
to these elements that
changes in blocks go
unnoticed at a large scale.
