1. A child’s First Steps in
Language Learning
J. Doug McGlothlin
2. *It is completely surprising how fast children
acquire a language without even know it
whereas there are several adults around the
world investing great amounts of time and
money to learn a foreign language. The main
objective in this article is knowing if the ability
that children have is limited to childhood or if
it remains in adults brains and if that ability
can be used to acquire a second language.
*To know this, the author experimented with
his son and for six months the author observed
and analyzed the sounds that his son made in
order to express his emotions and feelings.
3. Knowledge and Type
• This article was based on empirical
knowledge because the author not only
observed but he also experimented in order
to obtain his answers. This is also the reason
why the type of this article is pratical.
